The losing just doesn’t seem to stop for the Toronto Raptors who have now dropped 2-games in a row and 5 of their last 6. They did catch a break against the 76ers a couple of games ago, but losing to Detroit and Portland was not a good look for this team. Right now they are just barely holding on to 10th place in the Eastern Conference, but with their next 5 games coming on the road they could very easily slip even further down the rankings. To make things even worse, their leading scorer OG Anunoby could be out for this game as he has a minor hip issue. Joining him on the sidelines could be Chris Boucher and Precious Achiuwa as both of them are ‘day-to-day’ with minor knocks of their own.
Utah Jazz
After losing 3 of their last 4, the Jazz recovered against the Philadelphia 76ers by beating them 120-85 on Tuesday night. Bojan Bogdanovic had his best game of the season with 27 points and Rudy Gobert added 17 rebounds to give the Jazz their 5th home win of the season. Donovan Mitchell struggled a bit and scored just 13 points on the night, but he played only 22 minutes as the game was pretty much over by half-time. The Jazz haven’t been the darling of the bettors this season, they’ve covered the spread only twice in their last 6 games. They are 9-3 in 12 home games, however against the Raptors they’ve gone 0-5 ATS in their last 5 at Vivint Arena.
If Anunoby doesn’t play here, the Raptors are in big trouble. He is their leading scorer with 20.1 points per game, without him they simply won’t have enough to match-up with a much superior Utah team. Let’s assume he will play though, the Raptors are 7-3 in the last 10 vs Utah and 9-1 ATS during that stretch.
