The Jazz have been scintillating at home lately winning consistently and they are coming off a 9-point win over Sacramento. Jordan Clarkson had himself a game with 45 points off the bench as he went 15-for-21 from the field, while also scoring 7 threes. Bojan Bogdanovic continued his solid play with another 26 points output, while Donovan Mitchell added 25 of his own.
The absence of Rudy Gobert was felt on the defensive end though as the Jazz allowed 125 points, but luckily for them they were able to outrun the Kings in this one. As a team they shot almost 56% from the field, however against a much tougher Bucks defense I have doubts of that happening again tonight. Gobert is listed as day-to-day here, so there is a good chance he plays tonight.
Milwaukee Bucks
Milwaukee’s 6-game win streak came to a disappointing end as they lost by 13 on the road against Golden State despite Stephen Curry scoring only 8 points. It was the other Splash bro who went on fire as Klay Thompson erupted for 38 points and the Bucks just didn’t have an answer for him.
Giannis Antetokounmpo did his part with 31 points, but the rest of the Big 3 struggled, especially Khris Middleton who went 6-for-19 on the night. However, it’s not all Middleton’s fault, the Bucks shot just 41% as a team which is the main reason why they lost that game.
It was the first time in their last 5 games that the Bucks failed to cover the spread, overall on the season they are 31-37 ATS. They have bigger issues on their mind ahead of tonight’s game though, the Jazz have beaten them 7 times in the last 10 meetings so it’s going to be a tough test for Giannis and co. here.
Utah won the first meeting of the season by 12 points back in early November and a lot has changed since. The Bucks are back to full strength and currently chasing the number 1 seed in the East.
