Miami Heat vs Utah Jazz betting tips and predictions for Saturday’s clash on NBA TV. The Miami Heat will try to put an end to a 3-game losing streak as they head to Salt Lake City to take on the Utah Jazz. Read on for all our free predictions and betting tips.

Miami Heat

Miami HeatThe Heat suffered yet another loss on Thursday as they fell 112-109 to the LA Clippers. It was their third straight and 5th overall on the season. The absence of Jimmy Butler proved to be too much for them, even though we saw players like Kyle Lowry drop 25 and Tyler Herro chip in 23 as he started in his place. Bam Adebayo also had a solid game with 30 which is always a good sign prior to a game against one of the elite defenders Rudy Gobert. Whether or not Butler return tonight is still in question, the Heat needed him badly in the first meeting of the season against the Jazz a week ago when they won 118-115. Despite the losing streak, Miami still has a decent record against the spread going 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games.

Utah Jazz

Utah JazzSimilar to Miami, the Jazz have also cooled off at the start of November after a really good start to the season. They only have 1 win in their last 4 outings and that came against the Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday. Since then they dropped a game against Indiana 111-100 which was their first home loss of the season. An odd stat that jumped out to me from that game was the rebounding as Indy had the edge 53-37, which is something you don’t see happening often to a Rudy Gobert led defense. Consistency has become an issue for this Jazz team as they’ve won their last five games by an average of just 1.8 points. As far as health goes they don’t really have any major issues, Rudy Gay is their only player who remains out with his foot issue. They have covered the spread 7 times in their last 10 home games.

The oddsmakers favor the Jazz by 7.5 points here, I feel like that is a bit too much against a team like the Heat. Although they’ve not been performing up to their standards lately, they still did beat the Jazz a week ago by 3 points. If Jimmy Butler returns I wouldn’t be surprised they sweep the season series, but even without him this should be close, so let’s give Miami the benefit of the doubt and back them to cover.

A week ago they combined for 233 points between them, but tonight’s game should be different. Both sides have been in a funk lately and a win here would do them well, so I expect the defenses to be up for it. The Jazz are ranked 5th in defense while the Heat are just 3 slots behind them. They are combining for just 208.8 points between them in the last 10 meetings, plus the under has landed in 7 of 9 games for Utah and in 8 of their last 9 vs Eastern Conference teams. Tyler Herro starting instead of Jimmy Butler handicaps the Miami bench by a lot, they basically have no scoring coming from the 2nd unit. They also play at the slowest pace in the NBA, averaging over 2 possessions less than the next team. Utah isn’t playing fast either, they rank 18th on this list. The last time they played in Salt Lake City only 206 points were scored. I think we can expect a similar number tonight, so let’s back the under here.
