The moment all Raptors fans have been waiting for is finally here – Pascal Siakam finally makes his return to the line-up from a shoulder injury and Toronto no longer has to rely on the likes of OG Anunoby and Fred VanVleet for scoring. There’s nothing wrong with those two, in fact Anunoby is putting up career numbers this season, but you have to wonder if that will continue happening now that the number one scoring option is back. Playing at home has been an issue for a while now, they’ve covered the spread just once in their last 11 home games.
Both teams have been playing well so far this season, however any time you get a 20+ points per game scorer back from injury it takes time for him to get into rhythm and for the team to adjust to him. Mainly because of this and the way Kevin Durant has been playing, I’m going to side with the Brooklyn Nets in this one. They are just the better team at this point.

The total for this game is a bit too low for my liking at 209 Points. We’ve seen some epic games between these two teams over the years and in their last 10 meetings they’ve averaged a combined 225.6 points per game. Both of them rank in the middle of the pack when it comes to offensive efficiency this season, plus this being an early tip-off will also make the defenses be a little bit more lethargic than usual. Brooklyn playing at the 12th fastest pace averaging 102.3 possessions per game also helps us, Toronto isn’t high on the pace list, but with Siakam coming back I think they will slightly alter their approach.
