San Antonio Spurs vs Golden State Warriors betting tips and predictions for Friday’s NBA game on ESPN. A record breaking crowd of over 64,000 fans is expected tonight at the Alamodome as the Spurs and Warriors collide for the 2nd time this season. Read on for all our free predictions and betting tips.

San Antonio Spurs

San Antonio SpursPlaying in front of such a large crowd has it’s advantages and disadvantages. A young team like the Spurs might be overwhelmed with such a large number of people watching them, this will be the highest attended NBA game since 1998 when the Hawks and Bulls played in front of 63,592 fans. The Spurs are on a 3-game losing streak, but with two of those games being against Memphis and one being against Boston, it’s not really surprising they’re without a win during that stretch.

They did cover the spread in all 3 of those games, losing by just 6, 8 and 5 points. In tonight’s game they are 8-point underdogs, which is a bit on the lower side considering they lost by 37 points when they last played the Warriors on the road in mid-November.

Golden State Warriors

Golden State WarriorsGetting Stephen Curry back from injury didn’t help the Warriors much in their last game as they too lost their 3rd straight game against Phoenix at home. To make matters even worse, the Suns played without 4 key players and they still dominated and won by 12 points in the end. Now the defending champs are back on the road where they are the worst team in the entire NBA this season with just 3 wins in 19 games.

Ranking just 8th in the West at the mid-way point of the regular season is concerning, but with still 41 games to be played the Warriors have enough time to turn things around. A win tonight would be a good start, considering they are close to being at full strength. JaMychal Green, Jonathan Kuminga and James Wiseman are all out, but none of those players start for Steve Kerr. The Warriors have 4 wins in 6 meetings with the Spurs.

It’s time for Stephen Curry and co. to show who is the real boss here. They annihilated the Spurs in the 1st meeting of the season, I’m expecting at least a 10 point win here. They are much more experienced and talented at every position. Take the road team to cover.

San Antonio Spurs vs Golden State Warriors Predictions & Odds

Over the last decade or so and 40+ games between these teams, we’ve seen them eclipse tonight’s projected total of 241.5 points just two times. Let that sink in for a moment. Playing in front of over 64,000 fans could disrupt the chemistry of both teams a bit as they’ll have to get settled in with the new surroundings. Golden State has all their heavy hitters available finally, but only 1 of their last 5 games has cleared tonight’s line.

For the Spurs that’s also happened just once in 5 games, at Memphis in their last game. Looking at just the last 8 games between the two teams in which San Antonio was at home, we can see a trend of 6 games finishing under the total. Although both teams rank in the top 10 in pace, it would take a special performance on offense from both teams to reach this many points. I say we back the under here.
