Denver Nuggets vs San Antonio Spurs betting tips and predictions for Saturday’s NBA game. It’s an all Western Conference affair at the AT&T center tonight as the San Antonio Spurs take on the Denver Nuggets for the 2nd time in 2 games. Read on for all our free predictions and betting tips.

Denver Nuggets

Denver NuggetsDenver suffered a 12 points loss against the Spurs just two nights ago and the two teams run it back tonight. The Nuggets wasted a 22 point, 13 rebound and 10 assist triple-double from Nikola Jokic as they allowed the Spurs to shoot 52% from the field and 43% from downtown. Defense like that will never get you a win, especially not against a team coached by Gregg Popovich which takes advantage of every single mistake you make on both offense and defense. It was a rare loss for Denver in head-to-head meetings with the Spurs, they’ve beaten them 6 times in the last 8 games. Tonight is a new opportunity to improve on that record, however they will be shorthanded yet again as Austin Rivers is out with covid-19 and Will Barton is questionable with an illness. With Michael Porter Jr. and Jamal Murray out for the season, Denver has really struggled covering just 3 times in their last 12 games.

San Antonio Spurs

San Antonio SpursSan Antonio has continued their recent solid play with that win on Thursday against Denver. It was their 5th win in 7 games which has put them in 12th place in the Western Conference standings, just a few games out of the 10th and final play-in tournament spot. One thing these Spurs are elite at is their assist/turnover ratio. They are only 2nd to the Golden State on percentage of baskets assisted on and that is the main reason they’ve been so good recently. They aren’t the most talented bunch, but somehow they’ve managed to cover the spread in 6 of their last 7 games and they are also 5-0 ATS in their last 5 vs Western Conference opponents. As far as injuries go they are doing much better than the Nuggets are, only Keldon Johnson is questionable with an ankle injury, but latest reports suggest he could play tonight.

Denver will be motivated to get revenge for their loss the other night, they’ve already beaten this Spurs team once this season and they are more talented on paper. I think Nikola Jokic will make sure they get the split here, so I’m backing Denver to cover.

Nuggets -1.5 Point Spread is available at -110 odds on bet365

It was a high scoring game on Thursday as the two teams combined for 234 points. That was a 36 point increase compared to the first meeting of the season played in Denver. If we look at the last 10 meetings the two teams have gone over the total 6 times and they’ve averaged 220.4 points per game. San Antonio likes to outscore opponents at home, they’ve gone over the total 9 times in 12 games at the AT&T Center. That is to be expected as they currently rank 7th in the NBA in pace of play averaging 100 possessions per game. On the road the Nuggets are 9-5 in favor of the over this season. With a healthy Jokic their offense is clicking, they’ve averaged 109.3 points per game in their last 3 games. Their season average on the road is 2.1 points per game higher than at home, so I think this game has all the necessary ingredients for a high scoring outcome. Let’s back the over.
