Sacramento Kings vs Memphis Grizzlies betting tips and predictions for Monday’s NBA game on NBA TV. A couple of teams coming off losses meet up in Sacramento tonight as the Kings host the Grizzlies in their 4th meeting of this regular season. Read on for all our free predictions and betting tips.
I was very disappointed by the Kings effort in their last game against Philadelphia as they fell at home 129-127. All 5 Kings starters scored in double-figures, but defensively they allowed Philadelphia to shoot 52% from the field which was just too much to overcome.
To make matters worse, the Sixers played without their heavy hitters Joel Embiid and James Harden, a loss like that should not be happening if you want to make the postseason as one of the top 4 teams in the conference. Kings fans will be optimistic ahead of tonight’s game though as they still have a record of 6 wins in their last 7 games, plus they’ve covered 5 times during that stretch. They open as 4-point underdogs against the Grizzlies who lead the regular season series 2-1.
Memphis will be playing on a 2nd night of a back-to-back here so we could see some changes being made to the rotation following last night’s 112-110 defeat at Phoenix. The shorthanded Suns were 8.5 point underdogs in that game, but Chris Paul returned and they proved to be too much for the Grizzlies, who have now lost 2 games in a row following their 11-game win streak.
Thy do have a pretty good head-to-head record vs Sacramento with 8 wins in 9 games, plus 5-1 ATS in the last 6 played, so that might give them the edge tonight as well. Danny Green has been upgraded to questionable as he recovers from his knee injury. After scoring 11, 9 and 11 threes over their last 3 games, they could definitely use a sharp shooter like Green right now.
Both teams are in a funk right now, but the Kings have warranted respect this season after their solid record mid-way through the year. They did beat Memphis already once this season, so I think playing at home will be a deciding factor here. Take the home team and the extra points.
Sacramento Kings vs Memphis Grizzlies Predictions & Odds
At 244.5 points, the projected total is one of the largest we’ve seen so far this season and it would take a huge night from both teams in order for them to reach that number. The high point mark of the season in the 3 meetings between them was 235 points, way back in late October when the Kings hosted that game. Expanding that to the last 10 meetings we can see only 227.8 points per game scored with the under cashing 6 times.
Memphis has traditionally gone under the total in their road games lately with that bet cashing 7 times in the last 10 games. They are 10-13 on the O/U for the season away from home, and after scoring just 109 and 118 points in the last 2 meetings with Sacramento they could struggle on offense once again here. I’m looking for this game to finish somewhere in the high 230s, so let’s back the under.
