Portland Trail Blazers Form

Going up against a Portland team that’s 6-1 at home will be a challenge. They are also coming off a win after taking down the Toronto Raptors 118-113 on Monday. C.J. McCollum and Damian Lillard both had decent scoring nights with 29 and 24 points, but more importantly as a team the Blazers shot 56% from the field. Bad habits remained though as they allowed the Raptors to put up 113 points on them as every single starter scored in double figures. If they want to beat the Bulls tonight that simply cannot happen. Portland fans can look forward to tonight’s game due to the fact that they’ve beaten the Bulls 10 times in the last 13 home games. However, this season when facing teams from the Eastern Conference the Blazers are just 1-4 ATS.

Chicago Bulls Form

It’s been a dream start to the season for the Chicago Bulls and aside from their hiccup against the Golden State Warriors, this team is dominating their opponents. Their last 4 wins have come by 18, 10, 10 and 23 points against very solid opponents in the Lakers, Clippers, Mavericks and Nets. DeMar DeRozan is having a career year, followed closely by Zach LaVine as they are the first duo on the rich history of the Chicago Bulls to both average over 25 points per game. This team hasn’t missed a beat since losing their starting center Nikola Vucevic who has entered the health and safety protocols. In the win over the Lakers they had 3 starters score 26 or more points and tonight will be their 4th game of their current 5-game road trip they are on.

Portland Trail Blazers – Chicago Bulls Head to Head

I’m a bit surprised the Blazers are the favorites here, considering just how good the Bulls have been. No team seems to have an answer for the duo of DeRozan and LaVine, Chicago has beaten 5 of their last 6 opponents from the Western Conference and have covered the spread in 5 of their last 7 games overall. I’m backing them to cover the spread here.

Betting Tip: Portland Trail Blazers vs Chicago Bulls

Chicago Bulls +2.5 Point Spread is available at -110 odds on bet365

Both teams are very talented on offense, they rank 4th and 7th in offensive efficiency this season. The Chicago Bulls rank 2nd in the NBA in team shooting percentage at 47%. A team like Portland which is allowing 109.3 points per game will have a hard time dealing with that. Opposing teams are shooting 46.5% against the Blazers this season, that’s the 6th highest number in the entire NBA. Luckily for Portland they have enough firepower to respond and are winning games based on their scoring this season. 4 of their last 5 games have gone over the total, for Chicago 13 of their last 20 have gone under the total. Analyzing the last 10 games head-to-head these two teams are scoring 223.6 points per game, judging by all that I think we could be in for a high number of points here. I’m going with the over here.
