Phoenix Suns vs Miami Heat betting tips and predictions for Friday’s NBA game on ESPN. After their 1st meeting of the season was decided by just 1 point, we are expecting yet another exciting game between the Heat and Suns as they lock horns at Footprint Center tonight. Read on for all our free predictions and betting tips.

Phoenix Suns

Phoenix SunsAs Charles Barkley said on TNT last night, the Suns are in a deep hole mentally and he’s not sure if they can get out of it. Devin Booker has been lost for at least a month with his groin injury, without him they just look lost out there, especially on offense where they’ve scored 88, 83, 104 and 102 points over their last 4 games. To make matters worse they go up against one of the elite defensive teams in the NBA the Miami Heat. The home record of 14-5 SU is the only thing giving Suns fans hope ahead of tonight’s game, but even that fact won’t help them against the Heat as they’ve covered just twice in the last 14 meetings taking place in this arena. Phoenix is also on a 6-game losing streak vs Eastern Conference teams, there is still no sign of either Cameron Payne or Cameron Johnson coming back.

Miami Heat

Miami HeatThe Heat suffered a surprising loss at the hands of the shorthanded LA Lakers last time out 112-109 at Crypto.com Arena. It was a very odd game in which only two Heat players had solid games offensively, while the rest of the team struggled on that end. As a unit they connected on just 8 of 29 attempts from three, in today’s NBA that simply won’t cut it. The good news for them is the fact that they’ve already beaten the Suns once this season, back in mid-November 113-112. The Suns had both Booker and Payne available in that game, so it’s no surprise the Heat are favorites entering tonight’s game. Miami holds the edge in head-to-head games winning 14 of the last 20 as well, they should be at full strength for the most part here.

Bam Adebayo should neutralize Deandre Ayton, while Jimmy Butler will hold Mikal Bridges to a low scoring output. Without those two I just can’t see how the struggling Suns get anything out of tonight’s game. Back Miami with confidence.

Phoenix Suns vs Miami Heat Predictions & Odds

Although the first meeting of the season produced 225 points, tonight’s projected total has been set at 216.5 points, due to the recent struggles of the Suns on offense, but also the fact that Miami plays one of the slowest paces in the entire NBA. The Heat average just 99.6 possessions per game this season, ranking only 25th. Phoenix isn’t far off that number in 21st averaging 100 possessions per game.

They also have around 60 points per game worth of players out with injuries, so it will be another tough night finding the bottom of the net for them. Chris Paul is 38 years old and no longer the player he once was offensively. The under has landed in 8 of 12 Miami games and in 4 of the last 6 for Phoenix against teams from the Southeast Division. I think backing the under is the best bet for tonight’s game.
