It was a relatively easy win for Phoenix in Game 4 as they came out of crypto.com Arena with a 12-point victory. Once again both Kevin Durant and Devin Booker logged over 40 minutes, and once again they both went over 30 points in the win. As a team the Suns knocked down just 9 threes, but they outrebounded the Clippers by 16 which is what eventually decided the game.
I don’t expect the game plan to change too much here, the Suns have been clicking on all cylinders since the series opening loss. They are now 10-3 SU in their last 13 games overall, plus 7-2 SU in their last 9 at home. Unlike the Clippers, they don’t have any serious injury worries here, Cameron Payne could make a comeback after being bothered by a back injury.
Los Angeles Clippers
Kawhi Leonard is set to miss yet another game in this series as he was ruled out for Game 5 yesterday. It has been a disappointing turn of events for the Clippers here who had high hopes coming into this series, but injuries have once again derailed their season as both Kawhi and Paul George are out. Russell Westbrook turned back the clock in Game 4 finishing with 37 points on an efficient 17-for-29 from the field.
Other than him nobody else scored more than 14 points, that will definitely have to change if the Clippers want to extend this series. There is not much hope among their ranks as they’ve covered the spread only once in their last 5 games on the road and are just 3-6 ATS in their last 9 against the Suns. Having Westbrook on the team should be encouraging though, he gives 100% effort on every single play, so the Clippers are definitely not coming into this game waiving the white flag.
3 teams have a chance to move on in their series on Tuesday and I think this game has the most potential of an upset. Even if the Suns are double-digit favorites, I cannot discount a team with Russell Westbrook that easily. LA’s chances of winning are slim, but I like their chances of covering the spread.

The only way the Clippers win here is if Westbrook scores 30 points, dishes out 12 or more assists and one of his teammates goes for 40 points. There’s not many players that can potentially do that on the Clippers roster, but one of them is certainly Norman Powell. He did it already once in this series and with their backs against the wall here, I’m certain that will bring out the best out of these Clipper players.
This team has been through a lot this season, they have one of the deepest benches in the league and I just don’t think they’ll go away quietly here. The over has cashed in 10 of their last 13 games including 6 of their last 8 vs Western Conference opponents. For the Suns the over has landed in 5 of their last 7 and in 9 of their last 11 vs Pacific Division opponents. With the last 10 meetings averaging 221.2 points per game I feel like backing the points is the right way to go here. Take the over.
