Phoenix Suns vs Los Angeles Clippers betting tips and predictions for Tuesday’s NBA Playoffs game on TNT. Phoenix looks to avoid another shocking home defeat as they host the Clippers in Game 2 of their highly anticipated best of 7 series. Read on for all our free predictions and betting tips.

Phoenix Suns

Phoenix SunsThe Suns are no longer undefeated when Kevin Durant plays for them. For the first time in 9 such games, KD and his team fell short 115-110 in the series opener over the weekend. Durant did his part scoring 27 points and dishing out 11 assists. Devin Booker also added 26, while Torrey Craig was a surprise with 22 on an efficient 9-for-12 from the field.

All that wasn’t enough though and now Phoenix is in scramble mode ahead of Game 2. A lot more than just 7 points on 2-for-8 from the field is expected from Chris Paul, he couldn’t do much about Russell Westbrook down the stretch. Phoenix has covered the spread just 5 times in 7 games vs the Clippers, but they have beaten 6 of their last 8 opponents in home games.

Los Angeles Clippers

Los Angeles ClippersYou normally can’t brag a player that goes 3-for-19 from the field, but Russell Westbrook put on a show late in the game making plays all around the court in a vital Game 1 victory for his Clippers. Kawhi Leonard was the star of the show though with 38 point scored, the Clippers didn’t seem to miss Paul George much in that game and now they’re looking to repeat that performance in Game 2 tonight.

Well, maybe not the 3-for-19 part of it, but believe it or not Westbrook has gone 2-0 in the postseason when he shoots at that percentage so maybe that’s not entirely a bad thing. Rebounding was another are the Clippers dominated 49-42, the center pairing of Ivica Zubac and Miles Plumlee proved to be too much for Deandre Ayton.

I feel like the Suns are too good to go down 2-0 here. Although Durant scored 27 in Game 1, he did play 45 minutes so some people might say they expected more from him. I think it’s time the Suns showed why they were the odds-on favorites to win it all entering the postseason, let’s back them to cover here.

Phoenix Suns vs Los Angeles Clippers Predictions & Odds

The projected total went under by a single point in Game 1, so the number has stayed the same as we approach game number two. I feel like we will see both teams make adjustments here, especially the Clippers who will look to get more quality shots and avoid their starting point guard going 3-for-19 again. The O/U numbers have trended towards the over for both teams lately, Phoenix has cashed on that bet 14 times in 20 games, while the Clippers have done so in 8 of their last 10, including 8 of 12 on the road.

Both Kawhi Leonard and Kevin Durant seem to be in solid scoring form, despite guarding each other for most of the possessions. With Westbrook in the line-up the Clippers are playing a lot faster than they usually do, that should lead to an increase in production for both sides in Game 2. I’ll take the over here.
