Phoenix Suns vs Golden State Warriors betting tips and predictions for Tuesday’s NBA Game on TNT. Two Western Conference title contenders meet up in Phoenix tonight as the Suns host the Warriors in the first of four meetings this year. Read on for all our free predictions and betting tips.

Phoenix Suns

Phoenix SunsIt was a display of dominance by the Phoenix Suns over the weekend as they destroyed the LA Clippers on the road 112-95. They opened the game with a strong first quarter which they won 33-18 and the game was pretty much over after that as the Clippers could never get going. One guy that did get going was Devin Booker who dropped 35 points on the night on an efficient 13-for-21 from the field.

Chris Paul also had a decent game vs his former team with 11 assists, he scored only 7 points though which could indicate that age is finally catching up with him. Nevertheless, the Suns will be optimistic ahead of tonight’s game as they are 5-1 SU in their last 6 home games. Interestingly enough, this team plays really well on Tuesdays – on that day they’ve won 14 of their last 15 games dating back to last season. The oddsmakers have favored them by 2.5 points, a bit surprising considering they’ve covered the spread just 3 times in the last 10 meetings.

Golden State Warriors

Golden State WarriorsAfter all the drama that transpired this offseason, I think most Warriors fans will be happy with the way their team has started the season. After a 130-125 win over Sacramento they are now 2-1 on the year, which is exactly what many analysts predicted before the season had started. Tonight’s game will be a huge test as Phoenix is one of those teams that gave the Warriors a lot of problems over the past few years, the last 10 meetings between the two teams have seen each side win 5 games. Stephen Curry will definitely have a say in who wins tonight’s game.

The 2-time MVP is averaging 33.3 points per game and is off to a hot start to the season shooting wise. If Golden State ends up winning 56+ games I think Steph has a realistic chance of another MVP trophy. But, let’s not get ahead of ourselves. Tonight’s game is a big one, especially since we know the Warriors are just 3-6 ATS in their last 9 games on the road.

It’s not often you get the defending champions at a +2.5 point spread. I must say I am a bit surprised by that number, Golden State has covered in 7 of the last 10 meetings with Phoenix. I think they are strong enough to do so yet again tonight on the road, so let’s back them to cover here.

Phoenix Suns vs Golden State Warriors Predictions & Odds

Defensively the Warriors have fallen off a bit compared to last year, at least over the first 3 games where they are allowing 120.7 points per game which is the 6th highest mark in the entire NBA. I’m convinced Steve Kerr will make an effort to point that out in his pre-game speech as Golden State hits the road for the first time this season. Tonight’s total has been set at 225 points which is a number that hasn’t been reached in either of the 4 regular season meetings last year and something tells me it won’t be tonight as well.

The previous 10 meetings are averaging just 214.3 points per game and the total has gone under in 8 of those games. Even though the Warriors are averaging 125.3 and the Suns 110 points per game, this will be a big game for both sides so I’m expecting the defenses to show up here. In the last 6 of 7 meetings played in the Valley the total has gone under, look for that trend to continue tonight. Back the under.
