Phoenix Suns – Golden State Warriors Predictions & Odds

Golden State Warriors vs Phoenix Suns betting tips and predictions for Saturday’s NBA game on ABC. Christmas Day marks the 3rd time the Warriors and Suns will clash this season as they take the floor tonight at the Footprint Center. Read on for all our free predictions and betting tips.

Golden State Warriors

Golden State WarriorsComing off a 46-point performance against Memphis, Stephen Curry has once again proven he’s the frontrunner for MVP this season. However, tonight he faces a team against which he is averaging just 17.5 point per game this season, so it could be his biggest challenge yet to win a game in Phoenix. Last time he played there he finished just 4-for-21 from the field and 12 points, if the Warriors want to cause an upset tonight he will need to improve dramatically. Golden State has won 4 of 5 and are one of the better road teams in the NBA with 10 wins in 14 games so far. Through health and safety protocols they’ll be missing Andrew Wiggins, Damion Lee and Jordan Poole. While Andre Iguodala is questionable with a knee injury. In their last 20 meetings with Phoenix they’ve gone 14-6 SU.

Phoenix Suns

Phoenix SunsThe Suns are on a roll yet again and have won their last 5 games, continuing to hold on to the top spot in the Western Conference. Devin Booker coming back has provided an additional boost, he is averaging 23 points in the 3 games since returning. With him back this team looks almost unbeatable, they’ve not lost at home since late October and are looking to improve on their 15-2 home record in tonight’s game. They are one of the rare teams in the NBA that doesn’t have a covid outbreak among their ranks, the only 2 players missing from the rotation will be Frank Kaminsky and Abdul Nader. Phoenix has covered in 4 of their last 5 and are looking to beat the Warriors at home for the 5th straight time.

Steph Curry had probably the worst shooting game of his career the last time these 2 played in Phoenix. I doubt that’s going to happen 2 games in a row, knowing the player Steph is he has surely marked this game on his calendar to make amends. I have a feeling the Warriors will bring their A-game here tonight and cause the upset. Let’s back them plus the extra points.

Warriors +6.5 Point Spread is available at -110 odds on bet365

Both teams are in fine form scoring wise, they’ve gone over 100 points in their last 5 games each. Phoenix ranks 3rd in the NBA in points scored in their last 3 games averaging 119.3 per game, while Golden State is at 108.7 per game in their last 3 and coming off a 113 point effort against a tough defensive side in Memphis. Defense determined the outcome of both winners in the 2 games played this season, I think the 2 teams will take a different approach tonight. They rank 4th and 9th in pace of play averaging over 100 possessions per game each, so there will be plenty of opportunities to score the ball here. Curry coming off a 46-point night also helps here, I’m expecting at least 30 points from him given how bad of a performance he had last time he played in Phoenix. Devin Booker is also back for the Suns and with them being healthy I see no issues on the offense for this side. Let’s go with the over in this one.
