Phoenix Suns – Dallas Mavericks Predictions & Odds

Dallas Mavericks vs Phoenix Suns betting tips and predictions for Friday’s NBA on ESPN game. It’s a re-match of the game played two days ago as the Dallas Mavericks take on the Phoenix Suns. Read on for all our free predictions and betting tips.

Dallas Mavericks

Dallas MavericksThe Mavericks had a 2-game winning streak snapped on Wednesday as they fell 105-98 to the Phoenix Suns. Dallas played without Luka Doncic in that game and despite leading for most of the night, they didn’t have anyone to step up in the clutch without their best player. It was the 2nd game in row they were able to cover the spread as they started the night as 8 point underdogs. Another positive they can take away from that game was the performance of Kristaps Porzingis who went over his total once again and finished the game with 21 points. As a team though, the Mavs shot just 41% from the field, that number has to go up if they want to get anything out of tonight’s game. They’ll be without Doncic again as the Slovenian is still not fully recovered from his ankle and knee injuries. Maxi Kleber also joins him on the sidelines as he is still out with a oblique injury.

Phoenix Suns

Phoenix SunsPhoenix is the hottest team in the NBA right now. Against the Mavs they were able to overcome a poor shooting night by Chris Paul who went only 2-for-12 from the field. However, he did have 14 assists in that game and was the driving force behind the comeback late in the game. Deandre Ayton also returned to the line-up, he had 19 points but more importantly and adds another dimension to this Suns team on both ends of the court. The Suns have been dominant at home winning 6 in a row. In head-to-head meetings with the Mavs at home they are 8-1 in their last 9 games. They don’t have any major injury issues at the moment, the only played they’ll have to be without is Frank Kaminsky who has a minor issue with his knee.

Dallas was able to cover the spread two days ago, but only because they were hot from three point land and drained 16 of 32 shots. Relying on that to happen yet again tonight, with their best player missing yet another game it risky. The Suns have been on a roll, there’s no doubt in my mind the win streak will be at 11 games after tonight’s game. Give me the Suns to cover.

Phoenix -7.5 Point Spread is available at -110 odds on bet365

The last 10 games have trended towards the under between these two teams as 6 of them have cashed. Wednesday’s game ended with just 203 points scored and it was clearly obvious the Mavericks were missing their best player. This team relies a lot on Doncic for points, but also his playmaking. If you remove that they are a mediocre offensive team at best. On the road this season Dallas averages just 100.3 points per game, I have a feeling they will struggle to reach that now, especially with Ayton back in the middle for Phoenix. This season 10 of 14 Phoenix games have gone under the total, including 5 of their last 6 vs teams from the Western Conference. I think we’ll see a similar amount of points scored as on Wednesday, with the difference being in Phoenix scoring more and holding Dallas to around 90 or so points. Let’s go with the under in this one.
