It’s been a rough week for the 76ers as they’ve now lost their last 4 games to the Knicks, Bucks, Raptors and Pacers. This team is just missing way too many players right now and things are getting uglier by the minute. They did get Tobias Harris back, but Joel Embiid is still out, Danny Green and Matisse Thybulle have joined him on the sidelines and Ben Simmons is nowhere close to even reporting to the team. Without all those players Philly has slipped to 6th in the Eastern Conference and could go further down if some of them don’t report back soon. It won’t be easy against the Jazz tonight, they’ve won only twice in their last 16 visits to Salt Lake City.

Utah has a mini losing streak of their own that needs taking care of. They’ve dropped two games in a row against Indiana and Miami and have lost 4 of their last 5 which is their worst week of the season by far. Unlike Philadelphia though, they are almost at full health with only Rudy Gay missing from action, but he has been out for a long time now. Utah has struggled on the offensive end lately, they’ve put up only 100 and 105 points over their last two games, but going up against a team that’s giving up 115 or more points over their last three games should make life a bit easier. The Jazz are also really tough to beat at home, they’ve gone 8-3 in their last 11 games.
Even though they’ve lost their last 4 games, the Sixers did put up a fight in each of those and has lost them by an average of just 6.7 points per game. They’ve actually beaten the Jazz 6 times in the last 10 meetings and have averaged more points during that stretch. I think they’ll be able to keep tonight’s game close as well, Utah probably wins but they don’t cover at home.

Philly has really struggled to stop teams these last 3 games. They’ve allowed 118 against the Bucks, 115 to the Raptors and 118 against the Pacers in their last game. 4 of their last 5 games have gone over the total and on the road they are 3-3 on the O/U so far. Utah defense has been okay at home where they allow 104.8 points per game. They really need to wake up on the offensive end, they got solid production from Bojan Bogdanovic against the Heat as he finished with 26 points. Both him and Donovan Mitchell will have to put up 25+ tonight if they want to beat the struggling Sixers. Jordan Clarkson has also been a bit inconsistent, but he too is coming off a 22 point performance. In their last three games against the Sixers Utah has averaged 117 points, I think we could see a similar total tonight if they click well at home. If that happens, Philly then needs to score just 100 to push us over the total, I can definitely see that happening.
