Philadelphia 76ers vs Toronto Raptors betting tips and predictions for Monday’s NBA game at Wells Fargo Center. Two Eastern Conference foes go at it for the 3rd time this regular season as the Raptors and Sixers battle it out at Wells Fargo Center. Read on for all our free predictions and betting tips.
James Harden returning to the line-up is just what the doctor ordered for the Philadelphia 76ers who are now 4-1 SU in their last 5 games with him and Embiid. The Beard is averaging 23.2 points and 11.8 assists per game during that stretch, Philly has jumped to 5th in the East and some analysts are even picking them to go all the way based on their recent form.
Tyrese Maxey is yet to return from injury, with him in the line-up they’ll get another 20+ point per game scorer, something they will surely need once the postseason is here. Tonight they face a Raptors side they beat in the last meeting 112-90, played in Toronto. Maxey had 44 in that game, so it’ll be interesting to see if Embiid and Harden can replicate those numbers tonight. Sixers are 11-0 ATS in their last 11 at home, plus against East teams they’ve gone 7-2 ATS in their last 9 games.
Similar to their opponent, the Raptors also have a couple of injury worries with OG Anunoby and Gary Trent Jr. being questionable. Otto Porter Jr. and Precious Achiuwa have been out for a while, so the depth could be an issue tonight. Another issue this team has is their road form where they are just 1-9 SU in their last 10 games, not something you want to hear when you’re aiming to finish in the top 4 in your conference.
After last night’s loss against Golden State, they’ve now dropped 5 games in a row, playing on a 2nd night of a back-to-back on the road is never ideal. This team struggles to guard opposing back courts quite a lot and last night was no exception as Jordan Poole torched them for 43 points. As a team the Raptors allowed 18 threes as well, this team is just in a bad spot right now.
Even though 7 points sounds like a lot to cover, I’ll be backing Philadelphia here. Their last 4 wins have been by 12, 20, 18 and 11 points. Embiid and Harden are both healthy, this team means business.
Philadelphia 76ers vs Toronto Raptors Predictions & Odds
Scoring has come easy to these Sixers over the past 5 games since their starting point guard Harden has returned. They are averaging 125.6 points during that stretch, ball movement has increased significantly and the numbers back it up. They’ve dished out 30+ assists in 3 of those 5 games while averaging 28.2 per game. Toronto could be in a lot of trouble, we saw them concede 126 last night against the shorthanded Warriors, their 3rd game in a row with at least 119 points allowed.
With such poor performances on defense, it’s no wonder that their last 4 of 6 games have gone over the total, for Philadelphia that has happened in 5 of their last 6. I’m looking for both teams to play a high pace here, so backing the over is the way to go in my opinion. Take the points.
