Philly has won both games at Minnesota and New York and Harden has averaged 28 points, 9 rebounds and 14 assists in those 2 games, nothing a triple-double at MSG on Sunday.
He loves playing the Knicks, this season he is averaging 31.5 points per game against them, so I am expecting another special performance in tonight’s game. The 76ers have won 5 of their last 6 games, they are also 9-1 SU in their last 10 home games against New York.
On the injury side of things this team is fully healthy and if that’s the case come playoff time they’ll be a tough match-up for almost anyone in the East.
New York Knicks
Speaking of playoff match-ups, the Knicks don’t have to worry about that as they are currently only 12th in the East and 4 games back from 10th seeded Atlanta. With about 20 games remaining it appears that they will miss out on the postseason once again which is disappointing considering they had high hopes after making it as the number 4 seed last season.
The Knicks are on a bad stretch at the moment winning just once in their last 10 games and on a 5-game losing streak. They did beat the 76ers twice this season, but both those wins are from earlier in the season when things were clicking for them, however, that is no longer the case.
Until Derrick Rose comes back I am not expecting much from this team, Knicks fans are hoping it’s not too late until their point guard is back out on the court.
I have to go with Philadelphia here. They beat the Knicks by 16 points just a few days ago on the road and with the energy from the crowd in this game I see no other outcome but another big win for them. James Harden is going to go crazy in his first home game with his new team, back the Sixers with confidence.
