Kemba Walker also didn’t play in that game due to an injury, it is unknown if he will make his return against Philadelphia tonight. They’ll need him and everyone else to step up as they’ve struggled in head-to-head meetings with the Sixers losing 9 of the last 10. Philly has been on a roll, they are 4-1 at home and have won 6 games in a row overall. Their latest win was a 9-point triumph at Chicago in which Joel Embiid once again showed he’s an MVP type player with 30 points and 15 rebounds. He played like a man amongst boys and the Bulls simply didn’t have anyone to match-up with him. The chemistry these Sixers have built together since the disposing of Ben Simmons has been impressive, add to that that they’ve been without Tobias Harris as well for the majority of this run, we can only imagine how good they’ll be once those two situations are resolved. Philadelphia has covered in 5 games straight and are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games playing on 1 day of rest.
The Knicks actually beat the Sixers a couple of weeks ago holding them to just 99 points at Madison Square Garden. A player like Embiid surely remembers that and he’ll do everything he can do avenge that defeat.
