The 76ers are coming off a disappointing loss at Phoenix 114-104 over the weekend, but they still finished their mini 3-game West coast road trip with a positive record. James Harden once again raised questions about his play going only 2-for-11 from the field in the loss, while Joel Embiid dropped 37 and grabbed 15 rebounds. The big man suffered a minor ankle injury in the 3rd quarter, but managed to stay in the game and have an impact on the score. He isn’t listed on the injury report for tonight, which means he’ll be ready to play.
The 76ers will need everything they can get for this one as they are facing a team that has beaten them 7 times in the last 10 meetings. They do have a solid track record against Eastern Conference opponents lately though with 8 wins in 11 games, so that’s a reason to be optimistic for Sixers fans.
Milwaukee Bucks
Since we’re at it, the Bucks also have a really good record vs Eastern Conference teams with 6 wins in a row, they are also 6-1 SU in their last 7 vs Philadelphia and have won 10 of 13 games overall. All that sounds good, but there are some injury concerns ahead of tonight’s game. Jrue Holiday didn’t play in their last game due to an ankle injury, he has been upgraded to probable here. Same goes for Giannis Antetokounmpo who is dealing with a minor knee problem.
This Milwaukee team seems to be the only team from the Top 4 in the East that isn’t scared of finishing first in the standings and potentially facing the Brooklyn Nets in the opening round of the playoffs. After all, they are the defending champions and if any team wants to dethrone them and get to the NBA finals, they’ll have to go through them.
Despite the Sixers being home here, I am giving the edge to the Bucks. Giannis and Embiid should cancel each other out, while Jrue Holiday and Khris Middleton should be a better combo than James Harden and Tyrese Maxey. Harden has a habit of disappearing in big games, until that changes I am not trusting his team to win. Back the road team to cover.

Just a couple of games ago the struggling LA Lakers scored 121 on them without LeBron James. If they can do it, so can Milwaukee, so my advice here would be to back the points.
