Philadelphia 76ers vs Atlanta Hawks betting tips and predictions for Monday’s NBA game on NBA TV. The Sixers are looking to win their 3rd game in a row as they host the Hawks in what will be the 3rd meeting of the season between the two teams. Read on for all our free predictions and betting tips.
It was the perfect ending to a mini 3-game road trip for Philadelphia last night as they ran over the Orlando Magic 133-103. In total 6 players scored in double figures, led by Shake Milton who had 29 on an impressive 10-for-13 shooting. Still no Embiid, Harden and Maxey for Philly, but according to the latest rumors Embiid could make a comeback tonight as he recovers from a foot injury.
With him in the line-up the Sixers would be a force, he had 42 points the last time the Sixers played Atlanta which got them a 12-point win. The Sixers are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 at Wells Fargo Center and there’s really solid value on backing them at the moment as the oddsmakers have them as 5.5 point underdogs.
Atlanta has only Clint Capela questionable for tonight’s game, they could definitely use him in a potential match-up with Embiid. The Hawks are just 2-4 SU in their last 6 games, and have covered the spread just once during that stretch. I think we can all agree that this team is underperforming considering the amount of talent on their roster. They still lead their division though, but only because Washington and Miami are unable to capitalize on their slip ups. This team is hoping to bounce back from consecutive losses, in games in which they were favored to win. Tonight’s a similar scenario in Philadelphia, they’ve covered just twice in 7 games vs teams from their own division, so I am a bit skeptical with their chances in tonight’s game.
I really like Philadelphia in this spot. They’ve shown competitiveness even without their 3 main players this past week, if Embiid comes back they can take down the Hawks at home. Give me Philly to cover.
Philadelphia 76ers vs Atlanta Hawks Predictions & Odds
The Hawks prefer to run on the road, their last game at Houston saw a final score of 128-122. They are 7-2 on the O/U in road games this season, that’s the only stat you need to assess tonight’s game. The trend in head-to-head meetings between these teams has leaned towards the under, but I have a feeling tonight’s game will be played at a much faster pace than the previous 3 games. After all the final score in the previous meeting in Philadelphia was 121-109 in favor of the home team.
Atlanta just lacks proper guidance on the defensive end, if Capela isn’t able to go that would leave a massive hole in the middle of the paint. The Hawks are 14th in defensive rating this season, while playing the 6th fastest pace. I’m taking the points in tonight’s game.
