Miami Heat vs Philadelphia 76ers betting tips and predictions for Wednesday’s clash in the NBA. With both teams coming off losses in their previous game, the Philadelphia 76ers host the Miami Heat tonight at the Wells Fargo Center. Read on for all our free predictions and betting tips.

Miami Heat

Miami HeatMiami got beat pretty bad at the hands of the Cleveland Cavaliers 105-94 on Monday. Not having Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo at their disposal is really hurting them, even though they had 4 start score in double figures, they were simply no match for the red hot Cavaliers. Veterans P.J. Tucker and Kyle Lowry had 23 and 22 points, but as a team the Heat shot just 44% from the field and couldn’t crack the 100 point mark yet again. Both Butler and Bam will continue to miss games tonight and joining them on the sidelines could be Tyler Herro who is questionable with a quad problem. Miami has covered just 4 times in their last 12 games, however they do have a positive record vs Philadelphia at 6-3 ATS in the last 9 meetings and are 4-2 SU in the last 6 against them.

Philadelphia 76ers

Philadelphia 76ers 1Joel Embiid missed yet another game and Philadelphia got annihilated by the Memphis Grizzlies 126-91 on Monday, despite not having Ja Morant. Tyrese Maxey tried to fill the void with 23 points, but the Grizzlies were too much to handle for Philadelphia who scored just 37 points over the last 24 minutes of the game. The status of Embiid is unclear for tonight’s game as he has a problem with his ribs, he is officially ruled as questionable here. If he doesn’t suit up, the Sixers could be in trouble once again. They are just 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games overall and have covered just once in their last 6 at home. Playing Miami at home has resulted in 5 wins in 6 games, so that’s one reason for the Sixer fans to be optimistic tonight.

It all depends on Joel Embiid’s health. If he suits up I really like the Sixers here. They’ve done well in head to head meetings vs Miami, plus the Heat are heavily shorthanded with their 2 best players being out. Back the 76ers to cover.

Philadelphia -5.5 Point Spread is available at -110 odds on bet365

A very low 207 Point total has been set for tonight’s game, showing you just how many players are missing through injury for both sides. I think that’s a bit too low, especially for a Miami Heat team that’s gone 10-6 on the O/U in 16 road games so far this season. In their last 5 road games the over has cashed 4 times, plus against the Sixers the over has landed 5 times in the last 6 head-to-head. The two teams are also averaging 225.8 point per game in the last 10 meetings, plus in their last 3 head-to-head that number is even higher at 234.6 per game. It’s worth pointing out that the Heat have the 7th best offensive rating in the NBA, while the Sixers are 14th in that category. I think both teams will have enough to push us over the total here. Back the points.
