Utah Jazz

The Jazz are coming off a 118-115 loss against Miami, but there are some positives to take away from that game despite the outcome. Donovan Mitchell came back and had a great game with 37 points, his ankle injury seems like a thing of the past and the Jazz will be delighted to have him back. Rudy Gobert didn’t have the best of games and finished with just 8 rebounds, however that should change tonight as the Magic are one of the worst rebounding teams in the NBA. Utah has a really good record in head-to-head games having covered the spread 8 times in the last 10 meetings and won 9 of the last 10.

Orlando Magic

Orlando is still winless at home in 4 games, they’ve dropped two in a row against the Celtics and Spurs without even cracking the 90-point mark. This team is severely lacking talent on both ends and could very well be near the bottom of the East this season. Cole Anthony has been a bright spot for them, he has already had 5 games this season with 20+ points, but he alone is unable to carry this team. The Magic are making just 39.3% of their field goals and are shooting 29.3% from the field. They are doing better on the defensive end allowing just 108.6 points per game, if they want to get anything out of tonight’s game they’ll have to tighten up their ranks.

Orlando Magic vs Utah Jazz Odds

Despite the loss to Miami, Utah is still one of the most dominant teams in the NBA at 7-2. They won 4 of 6 games on the road and with their recent record against the Magic, I think there’s no way Orlando surprises them here, they’ve been just really bad in these opening couple of weeks. Take the Jazz to cover.

Utah Jazz -9.5 Point Spread available at -110 odds on bet365!

Last night’s game against the Heat went well over the total for the Jazz, they simply didn’t have an answer for Miami’s onslaught. Three Miami players finished with 20+ points, Tyler Herro stood out with 29 off the bench. Luckily for Utah, the Magic aren’t anywhere near as talented as the Heat when it comes to scoring the ball. Orlando ranks 28th in points per game at 99.9, in their last three they’ve averaged just 94.3 per game. Their home games have largely been disappointing with them scoring just 93.8 per game. Only 4 teams are worse when it comes to offensive efficiency and all 4 are probably missing the postseason. Utah is 5th in offensive efficiency, plus they have one of the best defenses in the NBA, over the last 10 meetings they are scoring 109.4 points per game while holding Orlando to just 93.3 per game. I’m taking the under with confidence here.
