You’d think playing the Thunder would be a welcome sign for the Lakers this season, but that hasn’t been the case as they are 0-2 in the 2 meetings so far. In both of those games they had big leads both on the road and at home, but they allowed the Thunder to come back and beat them. Last night vs Memphis Anthony Davis had 22, while LeBron James had a 20 points, 10 boards and 11 assists triple-double and LA still fell to the shorthanded Grizzlies who were without Ja Morant. Russell Westbrook had a nightmare game with just 9 points on 3-of-9 shooting and finished with 6 turnovers. Despite their recent inconsistencies the Lakers enter tonight’s game as 6 point favorites, they are just 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games and 1-5 ATS in the last 6 vs OKC.
Los Angeles Lakers
Suffering the biggest loss in NBA history was a wake-up call for this young Oklahoma City roster, they’ve won two games since against the Pistons and Raptors. Tonight they come back home after playing their last 3 on the road and they are completely healthy coming into tonight’s game. Their leading scorer Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had 27 and 28 points in the 2 meetings with the Lakers, they’ll be happy to have him at their disposal after being in and out of the line-up in recent games. OKC hasn’t been winning at home a lot lately, but they are 7-4 ATS in 11 home games this season and are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 overall.
LA is just all over the place right now and expecting them to win by 7 points here, I’m just not sure I’m able to trust them by that much. They’ve lost twice to this team already this season and the Morant-less Grizzlies just beat them without any issues last night. Give me the Thunder at home plus the extra points.
