New York Knicks vs Milwaukee Bucks betting tips and predictions for Monday’s NBA game at Madison Square Garden. The Bucks have an opportunity to sweep the regular season series against the Knicks as the two teams meet up for the 3rd and final time. Read on for all our free predictions and betting tips.
New York Knicks
The Knicks have lost the two meetings this season by 11 and 6 points, however they will be encouraged by their run of 4 wins in a row entering tonight’s game. Their latest victim were the unpredictable Toronto Raptors on the road which was their 1st win in Canada since 2015. With that win they are now 6th in the Eastern Conference.
A lot is expected from Julius Randle tonight, he’s averaging only 16 points per game in the 2 meetings against Milwaukee. The Knicks could once again be without RJ Barrett who is out with a finger injury, he is 3rd on the team in scoring averaging 19.7 pts per game. Bettors have won a lot of money backing the Knicks to cover lately, they are 12-5 ATS in their last 17 games.
The Bucks have been the exact opposite covering just 3 times in their last 9 games, with a lot of frustration happening during those 9 games. However, the good news is they’ve owned the Knicks lately winning the last 5 meetings head-to-head and covering the spread times. Giannis Antetokounmpo had one of his worst games ever scoring just 9 points in the loss to Charlotte the other night.
Prior to that he had a streak of 45, 43, 55 and 30 point scored, so New York could be in a lot of trouble if he decides to take out his frustrations on the Knicks tonight. Khris Middleton remains out with his knee issue, joining him on the sidelines will be Serge Ibaka who is out due to personal reasons. Outside of that, the Bucks will be relying on Jrue Holiday who has also been in and out of the line-up, but he’s ready for tonight’s game.
I’m surprised the Bucks are just 3-point favorites here, they’ve pretty much dominated this match-up for a while now. I’m backing Giannis and co. to get back on track with style here. Milwaukee to cover.
New York Knicks vs Milwaukee Bucks Predictions & Odds
This match-up hasn’t been known for a lot of points scored. The last 10 games have averaged 220.5 points per game, which by today’s NBA standards isn’t a lot. With each team missing a quality 20-point per game scorer in Barrett and Middleton, I have to say I’m leaning slightly towards the under here. Milwaukee is 6-12 on the O/U in road games this season, they own the 4th best defensive efficiency allowing just 108.1 points per 100 possessions.
The Knicks aren’t far behind at 109.4 points, ranking in the top 10 as well. If we look at just match-up at Madison Square Garden between the two teams, then the under has cashed 5 times in the last 6 played. Those trends are likely to continue tonight, so I’ll be backing the under in this one.
