New York Knicks vs Golden State Warriors betting tips and predictions for Tuesday’s NBA game on TNT. The Knicks look to extend their win streak past 7 in a row as they host the defending champion Warriors. Read on for all our free predictions and betting tips.
New York Knicks
Christmas has come early for the New York Knicks who have won their last 7 games, putting together a win streak not a lot of people saw coming. Their latest win was a 3-point triumph against the Indiana Pacers, wrapping up a perfect 3-0 mini road trip. They are only 7-7 at Madison Square Garden this season though, and they go into tonight’s game on a 8-game home losing streak against the Warriors.
So there won’t be a lack of motivation for New York to get the win here, the question is can they do it? They continue to be without Obi Toppin who has been ruled out for the next few weeks with a knee injury. So far they haven’t missed him, it’ll be interesting to see if it stays that way.
Golden State Warriors
The defending champions have a lot more injury issues than the Knicks with the likes of Stephen Curry, Andre Iguodala and Andrew Wiggins being ruled out of tonight’s game. Klay Thompson and Jonathan Kuminga are both questionable, making head coach Steve Kerr’s life difficult here. The Warriors are one of the most inconsistent road teams in the NBA this season with a 3-14 SU record, however they are coming off a 126-110 win at Toronto, in a game in which Jordan Poole exploded for 43 points.
It would also help to have Klay Thompson available here, he added 17 points and 7 rebounds in that win. Golden State does have a solid record in games vs Atlantic Division teams covering the spread 6 times in the last 7 such games.
I have to side with the more in-form team here. Playing at MSG is always welcomed by opposing teams, but the Warriors are just too shorthanded to pull off the upset here. Take the Knicks to cover at home.
New York Knicks vs Golden State Warriors Predictions & Odds
If you’ve been wagering on the over in recent Warriors games, then you have made a lot of money. The last 5 of 6 games for Golden State have all cashed on the over, including their last 4 of 5 vs Eastern Conference opponents. A good sign entering tonight’s game is also the fact that their last 5 road games have all gone over the total and for the season they are at 12-4-1 on the O/U.
Even though the Knicks are 7-7 on the O/U at MSG this season, they are no strangers to high scoring games. They’ve scored over 120 points twice in their last 2 of 5 games, with their trio of RJ Barrett, Julius Randle and Jalen Brunson all producing at a high level. Golden State has struggled guarding the three-ball lately allowing 40% of made shots to opposing teams, that’s the Knicks’ calling card here. I expect a lot of points to be scored, so let’s back the points in this one.
