Dallas Mavericks
Kristaps Porzingis will not be making his long awaited return to Madison Square Garden as he remains the only Mavericks player in health and safety protocols. That’s okay though, the team is rolling without him and by the looks of it they won’t miss him much. They’ve won 6 games in a row and are 5-1 ATS in those 6 games. Luka Doncic is finally putting up MVP type numbers as he appears to have shaken off the ankle injury that has caused him to miss a decent chunk of games. His triple-double was the main reason Dallas was able to end Chicago’s 9-game win streak over the weekend and Doncic will look to repeat that performance in the World’s most famous arena. The Mavs are just 2-4 SU in the last 6 vs New York, but the good news is they’ve won 4 of 5 on the road overall.
Although their records are similar, Dallas to me has a much higher ceiling than the Knicks do. After all they have a top 5 player in Luka, plus the Knicks are far too inconsistent to be taken seriously in the competitive Eastern Conference.
