New York Knicks
There is no stopping the New York Knicks. The win streak has now reached 9 games in a row, following another dramatic win on the road in Boston after double overtime. Immanuel Quickley had the game of his life scoring 38 points and playing an incredible 55 minutes as the Knicks took the regular season series from the Celtics 3-1.
Julius Randle also had 31 points, while RJ Barrett added 29 and 11 rebounds. New York has not looked this good in years, they have a seemingly easy game tonight at home vs the Hornets, a team they’ve already beaten twice this season. Having covered at home in 6 games in a row and in their last 7 vs Eastern Conference teams, it’s no surprise that the Knicks are 10-point favorites here.
Charlotte Hornets
Charlotte has very little interest in winning games nowadays, they’re just 1-8 SU in their last 9 on the road and have failed to cover the spread in 9 straight games vs Atlantic Division opponents. Not having LaMelo Ball at their disposal has basically shut down the door on any ideas they had of possibly entering the race for a play-in tournament spot.
Instead, the Hornets are looking to tank the rest of the way in hopes of landing the number 1 pick in this year’s NBA draft. They do have a solid record against the spread in recent games vs the Knicks, having covered 8 times in the last 12 played. But, with 3 straight double-digit loses against the Suns, Magic and Nets I am not giving them much of a chance here.
New York is the hottest team in the NBA, they beat the Hornets by 19 points on the road the last time they played them. It’s never easy winning by double-digits, but the way they’ve played lately I feel like that’s happening tonight. Back the Knicks here.

We’ve seen quite the amount of points scored in the last few Knicks games, that trend could very well continue tonight as they play one of the worst defenses we have in the NBA this season. The Hornets rank just 22nd in defensive efficiency this season, allowing 112.7 points per 100 possessions. As a result they’ve gone over the total in 20 of 35 road games this season, and in their lone visit to Madison Square Garden back in late October they put up 131 points.
New York also has a tendency to go over the total in home games, they’re 20-14 on the O/U at MSG this year which is one of the more consistent records in the entire NBA. Head-to-head meetings have produced 14 overs in the last 18 games, so that too is working in our favor here. With only Jalen Brunson being questionable for the Knicks here, I think there’s a good chance they continue their win streak with another 120+ point game. Back the over.
