That stopped the losing streak at 14, but they are still the worst team in the NBA if you ask most people. Jerami Grant has been out for a while, so it’s going to be difficult to end the road losing streak at MSG without their best player. Saddiq Bey has taken over the scoring responsibilities and has led the Pistons with 20+ points in their last 3 games. Aside from him rookie Cade Cunningham has been the only bright spot this season, but it’s still early for him to become the franchise player. The Pistons have covered 6 times in their last 20 vs New York at MSG, they enter tonight’s game as 9.5 point underdogs.
New York Knicks
December has been brutal to the New York Knicks, they’ve won only twice in 10 games and are coming off a 114-107 loss at TD Garden against Boston. Evan Fournier led the way with 32 points, but this team has been hit heavily with the covid outbreak and 6 players are currently in quarantine. The good news is Derrick Rose could make a return to the line-up after a brief issue with his ankle, they could definitely use him against his former team. Even Kemba Walker has been activated again to help out with the player shortage, it’ll be interesting to see how this team plays moving forward as he was labelled as the main issue for their poor play recently, but not much has changed since he was benched.
Don’t know about you, but I am not yet ready to trust these Knicks. They’re missing a handful of players here and haven’t been anywhere as good this month. There’s no way they beat the Pistons by 10 or more points, so let’s back Detroit to cover.
