New York Knicks

New York KnicksIt’s been an up and down week for the New York Knicks as they exchanged wins and losses in consecutive games. In fact, that’s been the general trend of most games they played in the month of November, during those 30 days they failed to win 2 games in a row. Their latest loss was a Brooklyn on Tuesday night as they fell 112-110. Alec Burke led them in scoring with 25 points for the 2nd game in a row, while Julius Randle and Derrick Rose had 24 and 16 plus 9 assists. It was New York’s 4th loss on the road, at home they are even worse this season with 5 wins and 6 losses. Tonight they face a team that’s beaten them the last time they played each other, however over the past 10 meetings they have a positive record of 7-3 SU. The Knicks could be a bit shorthanded here as R.J. Berrett is questionable with an illness.

Chicago Bulls

Chicago BullsChicago is also facing problems with players being sidelined. Zach LaVine is probable as he recovers from an illness, while Coby White is out with Covid-19. The Bulls have also struggled a bit in the last week or so with just 2 wins in 5 games, but playing on the road this team has done well so far this season with a 7-4 record after 11 games. Nikola Vucevic had a big night with 30 points in a 133-119 win over Charlotte on Tuesday. Chicago shot almost 60% as a team in that game, but it’s worth noting that they played one of the worst defensive teams in the NBA. Still, the Bulls enter tonight’s game as favorites and for a good reason. They are 4-2 ATS in their last 6 road games and are 10-4 SU in 14 games played as the favorite.

The illness to Zach LaVine will leave a mark on his game, but I’m not worried too much. This Chicago team has him and DeRozan in the backcourt, I just don’t see how the Knicks can counter that. They combined for 52 points in the previous win over the Knicks, I think we’re in for another big night from that duo. Give me Chicago to cover here.

Bulls -2.0 Point Spread is available at -110 odds on bet365

A total of 207 and 212 points were scored in the two meetings played earlier this season, continuing a trend of lower scoring games between these two teams. Chicago and New York have gone 3-7 on the O/U in their last 10 meetings while averaging 211.3 points per game. The 3 most recent games have gone under and 208.6 points were averaged on 44% shooting from the field by both sides. Bulls games vs Eastern Conference teams have gone under 13 times in the last 19 games, while for the Knicks the under has landed in 8 of 10 games, including the last 5 in a row. At Madison Square Garden, the under has landed in the last 5 of 6 games. These are the 13th and 25th fastest paced offenses in the NBA this season, with New York playing at home I think they’ll like to slow things down here and keep DeRozan and LaVine from going off. Let’s back the under.
