New Orleans Saints Stats & Form

After dropping three straight games, the New Orleans Saints are not at 5-5 which puts them second in the NFC South. Despite recent failures, the Saints are still within the thick of the playoff picture clinging to the seventh spot in the National Football Conference.

The main reason for the Saints’ recent struggles is Jameis Winston’s season-ending injury in their last win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Last week, the Saint lost 40-29 in Philadelphia which was Eagles’ first home victory of the season.

Winston’s replacement Trevor Siemian threw three touchdown passes and two picks and ran for a score without several missing starters around him. Four-time Pro Bowl running back Alvin Kamara and tackles Terron Armstead and Ryan Ramczyk didn’t play for the Saints. After a fourth-quarter tackle, Adam Trautman is another player added to the Saints’ injury list.

New Orleans Saints News

Sean Payton is dealing with major injury issues before the game against the Bills. Alvin Kamara will miss his third straight game, Ryan Ramczyk, Tanoh Kpassagnon, Marcus Davenport and Adam Trautman also are out, while Mark Ingram is questionable.

Buffalo Bills Stats & Form

The Buffalo Bills opened up the season winning four of the first five games in two of which they left their opponents without scoring a single point. Since then, it has been all ups and down for coach Sean McDermott’s team that is now second in the AFC East and seventh in the conference with a 6-4 record.

Last week, the Bills lost 41-15 to the Indianapolis Colts after defeating them in last season’s wild card game.

Quarterback Josh Allen played his worst game of the season as he threw an interceptions in all four quarters. It was a bad day overall for the Bills who gave up two touchdowns in the first 13:22 of the game.

This loss was particularly costly for the Bills who dropped to second place in the AFC East to the New England Patriots, which Buffalo will play twice over the next five weeks.

Buffalo Bills News

Linebacker Tremaine Edmunds has missed the last two games but has practiced this week and is expected to be back tonight against the Saints. Star Lotulelei and starting RT Spencer Brown are still out due to health and safety protocols. Wide receiver Cole Beasley will be on the roster but his readiness to play is questionable since he is bothered by a rib injury.

The Saints and the Bills have played six times so far with the Bills winning only the first game back in 1998. The Saints have won five in a row since with the last one in 2017.

New Orleans Saints vs Buffalo Bills Betting Odds

The Bills are favorites when they visit New Orleans with -250 odds to win while the hosts are at 195.

The total point margin is set at 45 with both ways being at -111.

Betting Tip

The odds certainly go in favor of the Bills who are -6.5 favorites to win this one. Still, they haven’t defeated the Saints in 23 years and it won’t be that easy this time either. New Orleans has lost the last three and is injury prone but they have regrouped and will not allow this one to slip that easy and will definitely cover the spread.
