Memphis Grizzlies vs New Orleans Pelicans betting tips and predictions for Saturday’s clash in the NBA. Memphis looks to bounce back after last night’s loss as they head to New Orleans to take on the Pelicans. Read on for all our free predictions and betting tips.
Facing the worst team in basketball is a welcome sight for the Memphis Grizzlies as they’ve struggled a bit lately losing 3 of their last 4 games. Last night they were dominated at home 119-94 by the defending Western Conference champions for their 2nd loss in a row at FedEx Forum. Only Ja Morant and Jaren Jackson Jr. scored in double digits for the Grizz who just didn’t have an answer for Chris Paul and Devin Booker. Tonight’s game is a perfect bounce back opportunity, they are without a road win in the month of November. Against the Pelicans they actually have a negative record on the road over the last 8 games beating them just once. They’ve also gone 0-6 ATS in their last 6 against them.
New Orleans Pelicans
I’m actually surprised how well the Pelicans played last night against Brooklyn. They were able to keep the game somewhat close and only lost by 8 points in the end against a much superior opponent. All five starters scored in double figures which is a good sign, however this team is not going to be taken seriously until two of their superstars return. With a net rating of -11.6 teams are just pouncing on them at this stage. They commit the 24th most amount of turnovers at 15.9 per game. They’ve also covered the spread just once in their last 6 games.
Until something changes drastically for the Pelicans I’ll keep betting against them. Memphis is on a cold run at the moment, but even they can beat the worst team in basketball right now. Give me the Grizzlies to cover the spread here.

Both of these teams are struggling on the defensive end, so I’m not really surprised the total has been set at 221.5 points for this game. Memphis ranks 29th in defensive efficiency while the Pelicans are dead last. Last season their three games finished 110-115, 144-113 and 118-109 which means all three would have cashed on the over comparing them to tonight’s line. The Grizzlies love to push the pace, they currently average 102.1 possessions per game which ranks 10th in the NBA. They are going up against a team that’s currently 3rd in points allowed at 112.5 per game. In home games they are even worse at 113.8 per game. Getting back Dillon Brooks for this game adds another dimension to the Memphis offense, he is capable of giving you 20 points every night. In their last 4 games the Grizz have allowed 119, 118, 118 and 115 points and with the Pelicans scoring 112 last night against the Nets they’ll be in good shape ahead of tonight’s game. Give me the over for this one.
