The big 3 of Karl-Anthony Towns, Anthony Edwards and D’Angelo Russell combined to score 59 points and they also got some solid bench production which was enough to upset the Cavs and win their 15th road game of the season.
The Timberwolves are on pace to get into the play-in tournament, they are 3.5 games behind the 6th seeded Denver Nuggets and with about 20 games left it’s hard to expect them to get into the Top 6. Nevertheless, they will pose a challenge for the Warriors tonight as the last time they met at the Target Center it finished 119-99 in favor of the home team.
Minnesota has been dominant at home lately winning 8 of their last 10 games, they’ve actually beaten the Warriors in 5 straight home games which is something to keep an eye on here.
Golden State Warriors
The list of injuries is currently long for the Warriors as Andre Iguodala, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green and James Wiseman are all out for tonight’s game, plus Nemanja Bjelica is questionable with a quad injury.
They suffered an unexpected home loss at the hands of Dallas over the weekend. Despite leading by 21 points in the 3rd quarter they couldn’t hold on and lost just their 7th game of the season at home.
Tonight they hit the road where they are 17-11 SU this season, with all those players out it’ll be up to Stephen Curry to lead the way.
