The Bucks lost the game on Sunday fairly easily 118-95. It has to be said that they were heavily shorthanded as they rested Giannis Antetokounmpo, Khris Middleton and Jrue Holiday, their three best players. At least two of them are expected back, which should level the playing field a bit here.
Khris Middleton continues to sit out games with his knee injury, there is concern that he might not be at 100% come playoff time. With just 1 win in their last 6 games, the Bucks are in midst of their worst stretch of basketball this season. They’ve not covered the spread in their last 6 meetings against East teams, but yet despite all that they are 8.5 point favorites entering tonight’s game. Washington Wizards
Washington was also shorthanded in that game on Sunday, but not as severely as the Bucks. Bradley Beal missed that game, so it was up to Rui Hachimura and Kristaps Porzingis to step up and they fully delivered with 26 and 22 points in the win.
Beal has been upgraded to questionable ahead of tonight’s game, he’s dealing with a minor hamstring issue and his team is taking no chances risking further injury. Washington’s record against Milwaukee isn’t all that impressive, over the last 12 meetings they’ve won just twice, however this game couldn’t come at a better time for them as they are currently on a 5-game win streak. Taj Gibson is another player that is listed as questionable with a groin injury, so there could be some weaknesses for Giannis and co. to exploit on the inside here.
