The Bucks are in a lot of trouble. Giannis Antetokounmpo returned to the line-up and had a triple-double in Game 4, but they just couldn’t stop Jimmy Butler who torched them for 56 points. Facing elimination at home should bring out the best out of Giannis, so I am not worried about them at all for tonight’s game.
They finished the regular season with 32 wins in 41 home games, ESPN’s Analytics are giving the Bucks a 79% chance to win tonight’s game. The oddsmakers have them as 11.5 point favorites here, so they’re expecting a blowout victory here. How realistic is that? I wouldn’t say it’s not, only 1 game so far in this series was decided by less than 10 points. Milwaukee has 15 wins in 20 home games.
Miami Heat
Jimmy Butler’s playoff heroics in a Miami Heat uniform are well documented, but you won’t find many people that called his 56 point performance on Monday before it happened. He was a very efficient 19-for-28 from the field and even knocked down 3 threes which is very uncharacteristic for a player who doesn’t have a long range shot in his arsenal.
That was the only way Miami could have won that game. Tyler Herro and Victor Oladipo are both out with injuries, this team was one of the most limited teams offensively during the regular season. I don’t think tonight’s game will be seen as a must win game for them, they’ll be aiming Game 6 at home to finish this series, I’m not expecting much from them tonight.
The Bucks have already blown out the Heat once in this series by 16 points without Giannis at home. With their season on the line I’m expecting them to come out with a lot of intensity here, so let’s go with the Bucks to cover the massive spread.
