The Bucks are coming off a tough road win at Brooklyn 120-119 after overtime in what was one of the most highly intense games of the regular season. Giannis Antetokounmpo once again came up big for his Bucks with 44 points, 14 rebounds and 6 assists, making his case for MVP honours, but also leaping over Joel Embiid in the race for the NBA scoring title this season. Khris Middleton got ejected in the 2nd half, which makes the Bucks win all that more impressive as they played a decent chunk of time without their 2nd best player.

Los Angeles Clippers
Just like the Bucks, LA is coming off a overtime game on the road, but unlike Milwaukee they lost 135-130 against the Chicago Bulls. DeMar DeRozan torched them all night long and finished the game with 50 points. The Clippers played a solid game offensively shooting 50% from the field and all 5 of their starters scoring in double figures, but they simply couldn’t do much on defence this one.
The good news is their loss didn’t change much in the standings as they remain 8th with a 3.5 game lead over the 9th placed Pelicans, so it’s unlikely they’ll catch them the rest of the way. The Clippers’ road form needs to improve though as they’ve won just once in 7 games away from home. They are yet to cover the spread in 5 games vs Eastern Conference opponents.
Both teams went into OT last night and both were on the road, so there won’t be a rest advantage for either side here. The Bucks are 8.5 point favourites, after wasting so much energy last night in Brooklyn, I think we’ll see both teams slow it down a bit here which should result in a closer game.
