Milwaukee Bucks vs Los Angeles Clippers betting tips and predictions for Friday’s NBA game. The Milwaukee Bucks are looking to win their 3rd game in a row as they host Paul George and the Los Angeles Clippers in what will be the 2nd and final regular season meeting between the two teams. Read on for all our free predictions and betting tips.
The Bucks are coming off a tough road win at Brooklyn 120-119 after overtime in what was one of the most highly intense games of the regular season. Giannis Antetokounmpo once again came up big for his Bucks with 44 points, 14 rebounds and 6 assists, making his case for MVP honours, but also leaping over Joel Embiid in the race for the NBA scoring title this season. Khris Middleton got ejected in the 2nd half, which makes the Bucks win all that more impressive as they played a decent chunk of time without their 2nd best player.
They have now won 12 of 15 games and are 6-0 SU in their last 6 played at home. Against the Clippers they have a solid record of 6 wins in 10 meetings, while at Fiserv Forum they’ve beaten them in 4 of the last 5 games.
Los Angeles Clippers
Just like the Bucks, LA is coming off a overtime game on the road, but unlike Milwaukee they lost 135-130 against the Chicago Bulls. DeMar DeRozan torched them all night long and finished the game with 50 points. The Clippers played a solid game offensively shooting 50% from the field and all 5 of their starters scoring in double figures, but they simply couldn’t do much on defence this one.
The good news is their loss didn’t change much in the standings as they remain 8th with a 3.5 game lead over the 9th placed Pelicans, so it’s unlikely they’ll catch them the rest of the way. The Clippers’ road form needs to improve though as they’ve won just once in 7 games away from home. They are yet to cover the spread in 5 games vs Eastern Conference opponents.
Both teams went into OT last night and both were on the road, so there won’t be a rest advantage for either side here. The Bucks are 8.5 point favourites, after wasting so much energy last night in Brooklyn, I think we’ll see both teams slow it down a bit here which should result in a closer game. Let’s back the road team and the extra points.
Milwaukee Bucks vs Los Angeles Clippers Predictions & Odds
It’s a 2nd game in less than 24 hours for both teams, so fatigue might come into play here this late in the season. Milwaukee has gone under the total in 4 of 5 games, so even if they do play the 8th fastest pace in the NBA this season, I think they’ll try to slow things down in this one.
The Clippers are only 17th in terms of pace, averaging 100.2 possessions per game. Both teams have been excellent defensively this season, the Clippers are 8th allowing 107.8 points per 100 possessions, while the Bucks are allowing 108.8 points, which ranks in the top 15.
LA has a tendency of going under the total in road games this season, this has happened in 16 of their 40 games away from Crypto.com Arena. The Bucks have also had more games finish under the total than over in games played at home with their record standing at 18-20 on the O/U ahead of tonight’s game. With so little rest in between games for both teams, I think we are in for a low total in this one, so let’s back the under.
