Milwaukee Bucks Form
Milwaukee also has their fair share of injuries right now. Jrue Holiday is finally back in the mix, but they are still without Brook Lopez, George Hill, Khris Middleton and Dante DiVincenzo. Having so many players out has them currently on a 2-game losing streak, they’ve also covered the spread just 3 times in the last 10 games overall. Coming into tonight’s game they received some good news finally with Khris Middleton hoping to return to the line-up after a lengthy layoff due to covid-19. Getting him back is an automatic extra 20 points per game, although it still remains to be seen in what kind of condition he is following a long pause in play. The Bucks have just 3 wins in their last 10 games and have covered the spread only 6 times in their last 19 games vs teams from the Western Conference.
LA Lakers Form
After a long stretch of home games the LA Lakers are back on the road as they take on the defending champions Bucks following their 121-103 loss against Chicago. Things didn’t go to plan for LA in that game, AD was kicked out mid-game and without him the team just couldn’t hang on with the Bulls. Tonight will be only the 4th road game for the Lakers, they’ve won one and lost two so far. All the attention is still on LeBron James, despite him not playing tonight, rumor has it he might make a return to the line-up on Friday against the Boston Celtics. The Lakers could use LeBron tonight though, they’ve won just twice in their last 9 meetings with the Bucks.
Milwaukee Bucks vs LA Lakers Head to Head
I don’t know about you, but the Bucks haven’t been that convincing to me to as of late to earn the status of the favorite tonight by 7.5 points. None of the Laker starters played more than 31 minutes in the loss to Chicago, so they will be good to go tonight. I’m picking the Lakers and the extra points here.
Betting Tip: Milwaukee Bucks vs LA Lakers
LA Lakers +7.5 Point Spread is available at -110 odds on bet365
Although this will be a match-up between only the 19th and 24th most offensively efficient teams this season, with the way the Lakers are playing I have a feeling we could see a high scoring game. LA ranks among the league leaders in pace and that is due to their point-guard Russell Westbrook who often plays out of control. Four of the last 5 Laker games have been high scoring, with two of them going up to 237 and 249 points. LA averages the 2nd highest amount of possessions at 120.3 per game. While the Bucks do play a little bit slower, their defense was exposed by the Atlanta Hawks and Boston Celtics in their last two games as they’ve given up 122 and 120 points. Getting back Middleton will be a boost offensively, so I think we could be in for a fun high scoring game here. Let’s go with the Over.
