Milwaukee Bucks

Milwaukee BucksJrue Holiday returning is exactly what the Milwaukee Bucks have been missing. Even though Ja Morant scored 33 on them, it took him 27 shots to do so and Holiday was a major reason for that as the Bucks ran out winners 126-114 over Memphis. Giannis Antetokounmpo once again had 33 points and 15 boards, while Khris Middleton added 27 of his own for the Bucks’ 15th home win in 23 games this season. This team is almost back at full health, the only player missing is Brook Lopez who hasn’t played at all over the past 2 months due to a back injury. But even without him they are a force in the regular season and with the big 3 finally back together again I expect them to get on a run. They’ve beaten the Bulls in 9 of the last 10 meetings, including 5 straight at home.

Chicago Bulls

Chicago BullsThe Bulls haven’t fared well on the road lately covering just once in their last 5 games and a major reason for that have been injuries. They just lost Zach LaVine and Lonzo Ball for an extended period of time to knee injuries and all the good they did so far in the regular season is now in jeopardy. They remain atop the East, but Miami and Brooklyn are just a couple of percentage points behind them in the standings, without Ball and LaVine you’d think the Bulls would slip in the standings in the next couple of months. DeMar DeRozan will have to step his game up even further, he has averaged 25.7 points per game so far this season and was part of the MVP conversation for a brief time when Chicago was on that 9-game win streak. Circumstances have changed since and the Bulls have only 2 wins in their last 5 games.

With so many injuries to their team, I just cannot talk myself into backing the Bulls in this one. They did beat Cleveland last time out, but prior to that they lost 4 games by an average of 21.2 points per game. I’m going with Giannis and the defending champs.

Milwaukee Bucks vs Chicago Bulls Predictions & Odds

In the previous 10 meetings the Bulls are averaging just 104.6 points per game vs the Bucks, while Milwaukee is at 116.4 per game during that stretch. The under has cashed 7 times in the last 10 meetings, including twice in the 3 most recent games. Milwaukee has turned things up defensively lately, with the return of Jrue Holiday I expect them to improve even further on that end. Their last 5 of 7 games have all gone under the total and at home for the season they are 9-14 on the O/U. In their last 8 games vs teams from the Central Division they’ve gone under 6 times, so we could be in for a lower scoring game here.

Chicago is missing an average of 38 points per game through LaVine and Ball, that’s a pretty big amount to make up for not just for them but for any team in the NBA. On the road they average 109.1 points per game and rely heavily on their three-point shot making 38.8% of them, again with LaVine and Ball being a huge part of that. I think the Bucks get the job done on the defensive end and get the victory. Back the under.
