Who would have thought the Miami Heat would be in the driver’s seat with a comfortable 2-1 lead ahead of Game 4? I’m guessing not a lot of people. Especially not with two really important role players in Tyler Herro and Victor Oladipo both sustaining series ending injuries. The depth of this team is incredible though, they have players like Duncan Robinson or Max Struss capable of dropping 30 points on any given night.
Jimmy Butler is doing Jimmy Butler things in the playoffs, nothing we haven’t seen before. He had a game high 30 points in the Game 3 victory, but even with their 5th straight victory over the Bucks in home games they are 5.5 point underdogs for Game 4. The Heat are 7-3 SU in their last 10 games and have covered the spread in 4 of their last 5 at home.
Milwaukee Bucks
The fact that we are not getting any news updates regarding the health of Giannis Antetokounmpo is really concerning. He’s played in only 11 minutes in the series so far, and his back is clearly still not at 100% after the nasty fall in the series opener. Milwaukee did dominate Game 2 with a 16 point victory, but that game was played in front of the home fans which makes a big difference in the playoffs.
In 19 games without the Greek Freak, the Bucks are 11-8 SU this season, so not all hope is lost as we go into Game 4 tonight. The likes of Jrue Holiday, Khris Middleton and Brook Lopez will have to elevate their game in order to even things up before we head back to Milwaukee. Only 13 teams in NBA Playoffs history have come back from a 3-1 series deficit, so winning Game 4 is a must here.
These two teams have played 4 times without Giannis on the floor this season and the Heat are 3-1 SU in those games. It he isn’t able to go here, I’m not feeling confident at all in the number one seed. I’ll take Miami as home underdogs.

The projected total has remained at a relatively low 217.5 points, and with Miami scoring 120+ in all 3 games so far there is a good chance we see a high scoring game once again here. An average of 229 points have been scored over the last 10 meetings, plus the over has cashed 7 times in those 10 games.
Milwaukee’s interior defense has suffered without Antetokounmpo on the inside and the Heat are getting everything they want so far in this series. They are yet to shoot under 50% in the 3 games played and even their three-ball has remained consistent with 15, 16 and 16 makes. Until I see a game cash on the under, I’ll stick with backing the points. Take the over.
