Miami Heat vs Atlanta Hawks Betting Tips & Predictions

Miami Heat vs Atlanta Hawks betting tips and predictions for Friday’s game in the NBA. Losers of 3 games in a row, the Atlanta Hawks head to South Beach for a rematch with the Miami Heat just 2 days after their clash in Atlanta on Wednesday. Read on for all our free predictions and betting tips.

Miami Heat

Miami HeatDespite playing without their two best players Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo for quite some time now, the Miami Heat don’t seem to care. They went into Atlanta and beat the Hawks 115-91, thanks to 21 points from Tyler Herro off the bench, but most of all their stellar play on the defensive end. They held the Hawks to just 37% shooting from the field and over their last 3 games opponents are averaging just 100 points per game against them. Butler has been upgraded to questionable as he recovers from an ankle injury, so there’s a slim chance we might see him back tonight. Even if we don’t, I really like Miami here as they’ve covered the spread in 5 of their last 6 games, plus they’ve gone 6-0 SU in their last 6 at FTX Arena.

Atlanta Hawks

Atlanta HawksIt’s been a rough start to 2022 for the Atlanta Hawks who have won only 1 of their last 5 games. It gets even worse on the road where they’ve covered just twice in their last 7 outings and against Eastern Conference teams they’ve gone 1-4 SU in the last 5 such games. Trae Young has really struggled ever since dropping 56 points against the Blazers. Over his last 3 games he’s shot a combined 20-for-57 and made only 3 of 19 shots from three-point land. When your best player is putting up such numbers there’s really not much you can hope for, especially against a team that’s beaten you in 4 of the last 5 meetings played in Miami. To make matters worse, the Hawks will also be without Clint Capela here as he recovers from an ankle injury.

It was all Miami on Wednesday and it should be all Miami tonight as not much has changed roster wise on both teams. Atlanta did trade away Cam Reddish, I think that only hurts their offensive production, tonight they are going up against a top 3 defense in the NBA in my opinion. Look for Miami to dominate here.

Miami Heat vs Atlanta Hawks Predictions & Odds

Miami Heat -4.5 Point Spread is available at -110 odds on bet365

Miami’s defense has had the under cashing quite a lot for them recently. That’s been the case in 4 of their last 5 games vs Southeast Division teams and with the total being set at a very high 220.5 points tonight, I’m thinking more of the same will happen in this game as well. The under has cashed 6 times in the last 10 meetings between these two and they’ve averaged just 214.5 points per game between them during that stretch. The 3 most recent meetings have seen only 200.3 points per game and the under has cashed on 2 occasions. Trae Young is in a slump and until he recovers I think we won’t see the Hawks scoring their usual 110.3 points per game. Their average has dropped all the way down to 100.7 over their 3 most recent games, against a top notch defense like Miami’s I’m not giving them much hope tonight. Miami allows the 4th fewest points in the NBA this season at 103.9 per game, at home they are even better at 101.5 per game. I think they get the win here in a lower scoring affair. Back the under.
