Milwaukee Bucks

Milwaukee BucksThese two teams actually played over the weekend with the Bucks coming out on top 124-102 in a game in which they were stripped of the services of Giannis Antetokounmpo. The Greek freak returned to the line-up though the next night and dropped 27 points on his 27th birthday as the Bucks routed the Cleveland Cavaliers by 8-point at home. The defending champions are on a 10-1 SU run in their last 11 games, they’ve beaten 7 of their last 8 Eastern Conference opponents and they are slowly catching momentum as we get closer to Christmas. They’ve enjoyed a lot of success against Miami recently covering 4 times in the last 5 meetings and beating the Heat 7 times in the last 10 head-to-head. One player they could be without tonight is George Hill, he is listed as questionable with a minor knee injury.

Miami Heat

Miami HeatMiami knows a thing or two about players being absent. Right now they have 5 of them who are either out or questionable for tonight’s game. Markieff Morris, Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo and Victor Oladipo are all out with long term injuries and Caleb Martin is questionable with a knee injury. All of this has caused Miami to lose 4 of their last 5 games and they are just 2-7 ATS in their last 9 games overall. Even the shorthanded Memphis Grizzlies who are without Ja Morant beat them by 15 points at home the other day, so it could be time to sound the alarms if you are Erik Spoelstra.

Miami is in a tough spot here, I’m surprised the spread is only 5.5 points here. Milwaukee has their big 3 healthy and rolling, they’ve beaten their last 2 opponents by 8 and 22 points. I think it should be an easy win for them tonight, just like on Saturday vs Miami. Bucks to cover.

Milwaukee -5.5 Point Spread is available at -110 odds on bet365

A total of 226 points were scored in the previous meeting played over the weekend, even though both sides were heavily shorthanded in that game. And that’s been the trend in the last 3 meetings between these 2 teams as the over has cashed in all 3 of them. They’ve averaged 227 points between them in those games and have shot the ball 46% and 43% from the field. Milwaukee has gone over the total in 5 of 6, while the Heat have gone in 5 of their last 7. Pace wise the Bucks rank 9th in the NBA right now, I think they’ll try to take advantage of that against a shorthanded Heat squat, who simply won’t have enough bodies to compete. This Miami team has a lot of pride in them, so I am expecting them to keep it somewhat close, but Milwaukee should score enough to push us over the total in this one. Backthe over.
