Memphis Grizzlies vs Phoenix Suns betting tips and predictions for Monday’s NBA game on TNT. Ja Morant and his Grizzlies aim to win a 10th game in a row as they host the Suns at FedEx Forum this evening. Read on for all our free predictions and betting tips.

Memphis Grizzlies

Memphis GrizzliesYou’ll be hard pressed to find a segment of a basketball game in which the Grizzlies haven’t flourished in during this current 9-game win streak. The offense in particular has excelled with 120+ points scored in 6 games in a row in what has been one of the best stretches of basketball Grizzlies fans can remember.

Believe it or not, they are still only 2nd in the Western Conference, a half game back from the Nuggets who won last night, so it will be important for Memphis to keep the pressure on here. Ja Morant is scoring 29.5 points per game over his last 8 outings while shooting over 51% from the field. He is making highlight play after highlight play, making a case for his 1st ever MVP award. One thing that would help his case would definitely be a good game against the Suns, in 2 meetings so far this season he’s averaging just 23 points on 33% shooting from the field and 25% from three.

Phoenix Suns

Phoenix SunsThere is still no good news on the injury front for the Suns, so they enter tonight’s game as 12.5 point underdogs.  Chris Paul, Jae Crowder, Devin Booker, Cameron Payne, Landry Shamet and Cameron Johnson could all be out.

The only star player that’s remained in the line-up is Deandre Ayton, but there are questions to how effective he can really be without getting the necessary support from his teammates. Phoenix has just one win in 9 games, on the road they’ve lost 6 of 7 and are on the brink of making the play-in tournament at the moment. There is still no definitive timetable set for the return of any of their players, so we might not see the old Suns back until after the All-Star break in February.

Backing Memphis on this special occasion is a must, even if they have to win by 13 to cover the spread here. They’ve been dominant, especially at home where they are 18-3 SU this season. Take Ja and co. with confidence.

Memphis Grizzlies vs Phoenix Suns Predictions & Odds

After seeing 225 and 233 points scored in the first two meetings of the season, tonight’s projected total seems fairly low. Especially since the Grizzlies have looked unstoppable over the past 9 games or so. In their 3 most recent outings they’ve averaged 128.7 points per game, while at home only 5 teams average more points than they do at 119.5 per game. This is going to be a big issue for the Suns defense which has allowed over 120 points in their last 2 games against Minnesota and Denver, I think we can all agree the Grizzlies are playing a lot better on offense than both of those teams.

If we take a closer look at head-to-head meetings at FedEx Forum we can see 13 of the last 20 games going over the total. For the Suns this has also happened 4 times in their last 5 games vs Western Conference opponents. With the Grizz going over the total in 5 of their last 6 overall, I think backing the over is the best way to bet on tonight’s game.
