The injury to Desmond Bane has been a huge blow, he’ll miss his 7th game of the season tonight, the Grizz are just 1-5 SU in the 6 he hasn’t played in. However, the good news is they are playing a Pelicans team who they’ve beaten 11 times in the last 15 meetings.
New Orleans Pelicans
New Orleans will also be down one important player as CJ McCollum has been ruled out due to him being in quarantine. He also missed the game against San Antonio the other day, but it didn’t have much of an impact as the Pels won by 19. However, tonight’s game is a different animal, New Orleans has just 2 wins in the last 6 meetings.
All eyes will be on Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram as they try to lead the scoring load once again. Williamson has scored 32, 26 and 29 points in 3 of his last 4 games, so he’s coming into this one in really good scoring form. His team doesn’t really like playing in the underdog role this season, in 6 such games they’ve gone 3-3.
I fancy the Grizzlies here, especially after watching them lose a close one to Sacramento at home. They had an extra day of rest and didn’t have to travel in between games like the Pelicans. Go with the home team.
