Buddy Hield made some timely baskets in the extra sessions and finished with 25 off the bench for the Kings who were without their veteran leader Harrison Barnes. He is once again doubtful for tonight’s game with a foot injury, they could use him as 5 players played 35+ minutes against the Lakers. Sacramento has enjoyed a decent run against Memphis lately by covering 5 times in the last 6 games. This team is a covering machine on the road, in their last 19 games they are 14-5 ATS.
Memphis Grizzlies
I’m a bit surprised the Grizzlies enter tonight’s game as 1.5 point favorites as they’ll be without their best player Ja Morant who sprained his knee against the Atlanta Hawks a couple of nights ago. Without Ja, the Grizzlies completely collapsed against the Hawks at home and lost by 32 points for their 3rd defeat in 4 games. The extent of the injury is unknown, Memphis fans are fearing he could be lost for the entire season. Jumping to conclusions is not something we should do though, so let’s wait for more info from the medical staff. Morant will most likely miss tonight’s game, which is bad news for the team that’s covered the spread just 3 times in 9 games.
Even though their legs will be heavy after that long game on Friday, the Kings should be the favorites here. Without Morant, Memphis might be one of the worst teams in the NBA as they rely on him for pretty much every possession on offense.
