Minnesota Timberwolves vs Los Angeles Lakers betting tips and predictions for Friday’s NBA game. Losers of six games in a row the Minnesota Timberwolves try to get on on the road as they travel to Staples Center to take on the LA Lakers. Read on for all our free predictions and betting tips.

Minnesota Timberwolves

Minnesota TimberwolvesAnthony Edwards is showing a lot of promise this season, but so far Minnesota’s record has failed to reflect that. Ant is coming off a 48-point performance against the Golden State Warriors, but when you allow 123 points it’s hard to expect a win. That’s one area they really have to work on as they are currently allowing 118.7 points per game in their road games. Experience is one area this team lacks severely in. They only have 3 players who have played 6 or more seasons in the NBA and when you have such a young team it takes time to develop them. That would explain their 0-6 ATS record in their last 6 games and why they’ve lost 4 of their last 5 against the Lakers.

Los Angeles Lakers

Los Angeles Lakers 1LA is coming off two overtime wins over Charlotte and Miami, both high scoring games and in both of them they were without the services of their best player LeBron James. There is still no timetable for his return. Joining him on the sideline will once again be Kendrick Nunn, Trevor Ariza, Talen Horton-Tucker, but also potentially Rajon Rando Anthony Davis who are both listed as day-to-day with minor knocks. With or without those two though, they should still have enough in Russell Westbrook and Carmelo Anthony to get the job done against Minnesota. LA has been iffy against the spread this season covering just 4 times in 12 games, but they boast a solid record at home after winning 6 of 7.

Games like this are like made for Russell Westbrook. He can play at his own tempo, distribute and get everyone else involved and most importantly not worry about sharing the spotlight with LeBron. It might take them OT yet again, but I think LA sorts it out and beats the slumping Wolves. Lakers to cover.

LA Lakers -3.0 Point Spread available at -110 odds on bet365

The Lakers have the 6th best offensive numbers in the NBA and that’s with half of their team out injured. They’ve acquired Westbrook because of this, he can hold the ship afloat until LeBron and everybody else comes back. Numbers are always going to be inflated with Russ handling the point guard responsibilities. They play at the fastest pace in the entire NBA averaging 102.9 possessions per game, when you have proven scorers like Carmelo Anthony coming off the bench, you simply have to feed everyone and the shots pile up. Minnesota isn’t shy in letting it fly either, especially in road games where they rank 2nd only to the Golden State Warriors in points per game. Anthony Edwards is coming off a career-night and they also have proven scorers/bad defenders in Karl Anthony Towns and D’Angelo Russell. All in all, I’m expecting a similar score like in the last two Laker games which should put us above the total here. Let’s back the over with confidence.
