With the Minnesota Timberwolves, 6 games in front of them and the New Orleans Pelicans 4.5 games behind them, the Clippers look to be headed towards the 8th seed which isn’t all that bad considering their injury luck this season. More importantly, though, they just received news of Paul George being cleared to start practising with the team, which is a massive boost for their playoff hopes. If they can also get Kawhi Leonard, this team has the potential to be a force in the postseason.
They are just coming off a 12-point road loss at Denver, in the game before that they were blown out by the Jazz by 29 points. This team desperately needs new blood inserted in the line-up and George will provide exactly that in the coming few weeks. He probably won’t play tonight, so it’ll be a tough game against the red-hot Sixers. Even though LA won the first meeting, this will be a completely different 76ers side.
Philadelphia 76ers
Philly has 4 wins in 5 games, they are coming off a big win over the Clippers’ cross-town rivals the Lakers. Joel Embiid had another 30 point game, while 3 other 76ers scored 20 or more points. James Harden finished with 24 and 7 assists, as a team Philly shot 51.6% from the field and turned the ball over just 7 times.

As much as I like how much the Clippers overachieved this season, I’m still going with the team with Embiid and Harden here, they are just too talented. They’ve won 4 of 5 vs West coast teams, expect that to improve tonight.
