This is actually a repeat of a home-and-home between the two teams, the same scenario happened way back at the start of the season when they played 2 games in a row in Oklahoma City. Each team won a game, I have a feeling that could be the scenario here as well, but the question is who wins when?
The Clippers are in a good mood having won 4 of 5 games, Russell Westbrook has been benched late more often than not and it’s resulted in wins. Injuries are always part of the equation with the Clippers, but thankfully this time around both Kawhi Leonard and Paul George will play. This season they’re 19-13 SU when that duo plays, for that reason alone they’re 6.5 favorites heading into tonight’s game.
Oklahoma City Thunder
Just like the Clippers, Oklahoma City is also on a run of 4 wins in 5 games. They don’t have 2 superstars like LA does, but the one they have has been playing really well lately. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander just dropped 40 on the Phoenix Suns and the Thunder rolled on with a 124-120 win. That leaves them in 9th place in the West standings, half a game over the 11th placed Lakers.
Tonight’s game is on the road where they’ve been one of the most consistent teams this season covering the spread 11 times in 16 games.
