Los Angeles Clippers vs Golden State Warriors betting tips and predictions for Wednesday’s NBA game on ESPN. The Clippers have a chance to even out their regular season series against the Warriors as they meet up for the 4th and final time this season. Read on for all our free predictions and betting tips.
Los Angeles Clippers
With 3 wins on the bounce against really solid teams in Memphis, Toronto and New York, the Clippers are finally starting to click. The Westbrook era got off to a cold start, but things are headed in the right direction now, mainly thanks to head coach Ty Lue who has been able to utilize Westbrook in the best possible way so he doesn’t hurt the team late in games.
The defense has also stepped up over the last 2 games holding the Knicks and Raptors to just 95 and 100 points, good things will happen if they’re able to do this against the defending champions as well. LA has 4 wins in 6 home games, it’s been a struggle to cover the spread against Western Conference opponents lately, they’ve done so only once in their last 6 games.
Golden State Warriors
One of the big mysteries of our lifetime is this Golden State Warriors team, they’re basically two teams playing under the same logo this season. At home they’re one of the most dominant teams with a 29-7 SU record, while on the road they’ve won just 7 of 33 games making them almost a laughing stock in those games.
Heading into crypto.com Arena they’ve failed to cover the spread in 8 straight road games, plus the Clippers have beaten them 4 times in the last 5 meetings there. After a couple of brief appearances in the last few games, Andre Iguodala is expected to be out of the line-up. Joining him on the sidelines will be Andrew Wiggins, Gary Payton II and Jonathan Kuminga. With the way the Warriors are playing on defense right now, there is no way they are turning this around.
Until we see something good happen on the road for the Warriors, I’m just going to keep backing against them. Clippers are just 2 point favorites, they won the first meeting in this arena by 10 points back in mid-February, back them to cover once again here.
Los Angeles Clippers vs Golden State Warriors Predictions & Odds
Absolutely no defense is being played by the Warriors on defense in road games this season, only the San Antonio Spurs and Houston Rockets have a worse defensive rating. The defending champs also play the fastest pace in the league in those games, that’s a really troublesome combination and the results are backing that up.
A total of 24 games in 33 appearances away from home have cashed on the over this season, including 4 of their last 5 overall. Although the Clippers do fancy a over in home games this season, they too are on a high scoring trend having gone 5-1 on the O/U in games played vs Pacific Division opponents. The last 4 Warrior games have seen at least 235 points, I can’t see those trends changing overnight. Let’s back the points in this one as well.
