Kawhi Leonard, Paul George and Luke Kennard all sat out which resulted in a 17-point loss. Looks like all 3 of them will sit out tonight’s game as well, leaving the Clippers in a rough spot at home against a Nuggets team that has beaten them 8 times in the last 10 meetings. Denver hasn’t been as consistent as their fans hoped they would be lately. MVP Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr. have been in and out of the line-up and over their last 5 games they’ve won only twice. They’re coming off an OT win at OKC, Jokic exploded for 39 points and carried the team on his back with both Murray and Porter Jr. out.
Whether or not either of those two play tonight remains to be seen, but even without them I feel like the Nuggets should have the upper hand, after all they still do have Jokic playing for them. Denver is also on a solid run in road games winning 6 of 8, they’ve also beaten 5 of 6 Western Conference opponents.
I’d wait for the injury report to come out before making any bets on this game. Normally I’d side with the Clippers at home, but they have so many injuries right now it’s hard to consider them against anyone. Take the Nuggets to win one on the road.
