They’ll have a much easier task at winning this game as the Mavs will be without Luka Doncic who is averaging 35.7 points per game against them in 3 meetings this season.
Despite that high number, LA has managed to keep the Mavs at bay scoring wise, in 3 games they’ve allowed just 103, 101 and 98 points. With Kawhi Leonard and Paul George both being healthy and playing, I think that’ll be the strategy once again in tonight’s game. Everyone is wondering how the new look Mavs will play in this game. After the trade for Irving they are much stronger offensively, but losing a player like Dorian Finney-Smith will definitely hurt them on defense. They’re expected to push the tempo and rely on their scoring to win games from now on. It is going to be a one man show until Doncic returns from his injury, with just 4 wins in the last 12 meetings against the Clippers I don’t really rate their chances here.

There is a long list of injuries currently derailing the Mavs roster, the Clippers don’t have such issues right now so I’m expecting them to win this one in front of the home fans. Having a ball handler like Irving solves so much of their offensive issues, but as good as Kyrie is on that end he is a liability on defense. The Clippers will go after the Mavs with everything they got here, they’ve been in a good scoring groove which is proven by their last 6 of 8 games going over the total.
When Kawhi and PG13 have it going they are one of the toughest duos in the NBA to stop. In terms of offensive efficiency Dallas ranks 8th in the NBA, they just put up 124 points past the Jazz despite not having Luka Doncic at their disposal.
