Indiana Pacers vs Denver Nuggets betting tips and predictions for Wednesday’s game in the NBA. Indiana will look to take advantage of the shorthanded Denver Nuggets as the two teams clash at Ball Arena. Read on for all our free predictions and betting tips.
With 3 wins in their last 4 games the Indiana Pacers are back on track. Caris LeVert led the way with 22 points on Monday against the Sacramento Kings in a game in which Indy almost blew a 15-point lead. But, that’s behind them now as they focus on the Nuggets who they have beaten only once in their last 11 road games. Helping that improve on that poor record could be Malcolm Brogdon who is set to return to the line-up tonight after missing the game against the Kings with an illness. The Pacers have enjoyed a decent stretch of games against Western Conference teams. They’ve covered the spread in 5 of their last 6 games.
We finally found out the consequences of Nikola Jokic’s altercation with Markieff Morris on Monday night. The MVP has been suspended for a game and now his team must find a way to compensate for his 25.4 points per game. It’s already been a tough season for Denver offensively even with Jokic playing, their three-point shot has been off and only four other teams average less points per game than they do this season. That’s really not surprising considering they are already without Jamal Murray and a few other noticeable scorers. Bettors haven’t been all that satisfied lately with them as the Nuggets have covered the spread just 4 times in their last 14 games.
The Pacers have been on the raise and I expect their form to only go up from here. The trio of Domantas Sabonis, Caris LeVert and Myles Turner is playing well together and Indy’s recent form gives me enough confidence to back them to cover here as well. Nuggets simply do not have enough bodies to compensate for Jokic’s absence. Let’s go with the away team.

Although the Over has cashed 7 times in the last 10 meetings I think we are in for a different scenario in this game. This season’s Denver team plays at the 4th slowest pace in the NBA. They’ve improved drastically on defense, allowing the least amount of points at 98.8 per game. At Ball Arena they give up just 92 per game which is 1990s NBA defense like. In 5 of their last 6 games the total has gone under and same goes for Indiana’s last 5 of 6 games. The Pacers aren’t exactly elite on that end of the floor, but they should hold the Nuggets to a reasonable amount with their best player sitting this one out. Indy has held 2 of it’s last 3 opponents under 100 points, so the groundwork is definitely there. Jokic, Porter Jr. and Murray combine for over 60 points per game, that’s just too many points out through injuries/suspensions. Let’s back the under here.
